Top 10 units of YR?

Post your opinions of the 10 best units in YR,and explain why if you want to.

I will start

1. Boomer (no need to explain)
2. Mag
3. BF (GGI BF with a seal > Soviet tanks)
4. Mastermind (sick)
5. Mirage tank (also sick)
6. Gat tank
7. IFV
8. Desolator
9. Floating disc
10. Sniper (anti Yuri unit,kills slaves.)

With the right combinations of other units around, it's the BF and Magnetron. Due to build order potential to F your whole game up fast, the Boomer is up there, but just as a unit it's not really much better than the Dreadnought or Carrier. In a 1-on-1 fight, the Chrono Legionnaire beats almost anything. And of course, better units have the downside of costing a lot more, so if you want the most cost-effective unit, you probably have the Desolator and then the Mirage, and maybe the Gatt Tank, Dolphin, or Black Eagle up there too.

It also depends on what side you're playing against. For example, Prism Tanks are a lot better against other Allies than against Soviets, in general. And then you count units that are only buildable when spying an opponent, the Chrono Commando and the RA2 version of Yuri Prime are by far the game's best units.

Yes its a tough unit,just expensive for a single unit,but still effective.

I agree. They would be top 2 (if ra2 Yuri Prime was here) but how often do you see those units in game? Its very rare for anyone to make Spies at all. :/

Picking the 10 best units in YR is like taking the athletes at a track meet and rating their individual organs from best to worst.

it's really hard to rate units in a game from 'best' to 'worst', because there are soooo many things to consider when looking at units. Maybe narrow down your poll to "10 best looking tanks in the game" or something like that.

depends on your strategy, i personally like black eagles the best simply cuz im an asshole and i like harrassing the enemy tanks/miners with the ridiculously over armored black eagles =]
