View Full Version : SSR: The Heroes of the future!
Artificial Idiot
05-17-2004, 11:53 AM
This is the character thread for SSR, I'd advise you to please read the general information thread first, and if there are any questions/comments/ideas that they be posted there instead of here. Likewise, anything to do with characters ideas is to be discussed with me over PM.
A few notes I'd like to make about charaters. Please, NO demons, angels or heavenly creatures. I'm allowing aliens, to an extent, although, they are restricted and anybody wishing to play one has to speak with the GM (me). Robots are allowed without question though.
Also, I'd like you to keep in mind the number of female characters involved. WOC became dominated by females, and I think it would be better if we kept the number down in this. After all, how many teams of super heroes have you see dominated by women, hmm?
Without futher adue, here is the basic character sheet.
Real Name: Your character’s real name. This should be the name they use when not fighting crime, aliens and communists – something like ‘meek and mild-mannered’ Calvin, or, John Smith, or Bob Dole.
Superhero Secret Identity: The alias your hero takes while fighting crime. This should ideally reflect his/her super secret atomic mega powers, but anything reasonably fitting should do.
Appearance: How your hero looks while fighting crime (spandex, please!), and when not (nerdy glasses are required for at least 50% of characters). Please be detailed enough here that your character is actually recognisable from any other hero in the game, as well as other existing super heros (eg, we won’t accept anyone who is visibly wolverine in all but name, although someone with extendable claws and a bizarre haircut would be accepted.)
Personality: A short description of your character’s personality.
Super-Secret Origin Story: How did your character gain their awesome powers or abilities? Bitten by a radioactive butterfly? Built his atomic battle suit in his basement instead of attending highschool? Gifted to him by aliens? Anything’s possible, so make up something good – other characters will only know this if you want them to, though.
Super Powers / Extraordinary Abilities: Your character may have up to five different powers/abilities (although exceptions may be granted if necessary). The more you take, however, the more severe your disadvantages will be. Powers / Abilities are anything out of the ordinary for your character – including gear like a mechanised battle suit. Examples include super strength, x-ray vision, and a wrist-mounted rocket launcher.
Disadvantages: "With great power, comes great disadvantage" : if you have more than three super powers/abilities, you must take a minimum of one disadvantage, with this number increasing by one each extra power you take (for example, a character with five powers/abilities must have at least two advantages, although he may have more). Disadvantages could include "allergic to sunlight", "socially unaccepted", or "low toughness".
Gear: Anything that does not come "as standard" with your character – including battle suits, psychic projector staffs, and the wrist mounted rocket launcher mentioned earlier. There is no limit to gear, although some of it should be included as abilities if it significantly changes the effectiveness of your hero.
Quote: Maybe add a sample quote from your character?
THE AMAZING JETPACK SAMURAI!
Name : Ekiken Suzukami
Alias : Jetpack Samurai
Appearance :
A small, late-middle-aged Japanese man, with a somewhat stooped posture. Wears faded suits, often patched up at the knees or elbows.
When in his secret uniform Jetpack Samurai wears full Samurai Armour, with the traditional bamboo component replaced with lightweight, heat-resistant metal. He wears a large jetpack on his back, controlled via neural links to his brain.
Personality :
Ekiken is a shy and retiring man, little-seen outside whatever occupation he does (no-one has been bothered to check). He has few friends, yet most people in Lutonopolis seem to know his small, shambling figure – none know of his secret identity, or moralistic warrior code.
Super-Secret Origin Story :
During the closing months of the second world war, various secret weapons and forbidden technologies were being produced by both the axis and allied powers. In particular, the Germans had a super-soldier programme, designed to alter DNA of the subjects to provide brilliant fighting machines, defenders of the Aryan dream. Alongside the plans for this, a Japanese-German collaboration of both country’s greatest rocket scientists produced the first working prototype of the jetpack. These were expensive and dangerous to produce, but several were gifted to the Russians, in order to form a top-secret unit designed to blunt the American advance in the pacific.
Ekikien was at that time, an unwilling subject in Japan’s own supersoldier designs – codenamed PROJECT SAMURAI. As the war ground to it’s inevitable conclusion, and German forces collapsed in Europe, he was the only member of the program to survive the genetic altering – and thus not enough to prevent the atomic bombing of the home islands in 1945. During the reconstruction period that followed, Ekikken, under his new alias of Jetpack Samurai, fled the country, and after many years, has found his way to Lutonopolis.
Superpowers/Extraordinary Abilities :
Jetpack – Jetpack Samurai can FLY, although only in short, controlled bursts. He is not very agile when in flight.
Blade of Justice : The Blade of Justice is an ancient, mystic sword forged hundreds of years ago, and now in Jetpack Samurai’s possession. When the user concentrates and focuses his mind, the blade of the weapon can become nanometres thick – and cut through just about any substance known to man.
Superhuman stamina and combat speed – Due to the various alterations to his DNA, and training in ancient Japanese fighting styles, Jetpack Samurai does not tire easily and is very fast in combat.
Mystic Armour – Although modified by various people throughout it’s history, Jetpack’s armour seems to protect him from bullets and other projectile weapons.
Disadvantages :
Code of Honour : Jetpack will never hit a woman or someone unable to fight back.
Curse of time : Jetpack is simply not as young as he used to be.
Gear :
Blade of justice (deathly black sword that seems to absorb light)
Jetpack
Mystical Armour

ANOTHER STUPIFYING CHARACTER COMING LATER (I'm not sure which one to use as my PC)
Nyerguds
05-17-2004, 03:28 PM
Real Name: Phil Donovan
Superhero Secret Identity: Granite
Appearance: Granite could probably, theoretically take pretty much any appearance, but when Fighting Crime he doesn't bother taking any kind of specific form, and just fights people looking like a big stone man. Hates to be confused with the notorious Golem though.
He's 22 years old, and adapted his appearance to keep up with that.
[Click here for picture] (http://www.planetcnc.com/cnc2sw/stuff/granite.jpg)
Personality: Generally a shy guy, Phil was totally unprepared to become 'the muscle' as Crime Fighting Hero. He's easy to anger in his Granite form.
Super-Secret Origin Story: At the age of 12, Phil died in a car accident, when the car his parents were driving was hit by a truck and thrown off a cliff. Miraculously, the two parents got out, but little Phil was pasted on the rocks below.
His conscience, however, seemed to have gone beyond these rocks...
A few weeks later, he was found in his garden, confused, and with no memory of what happened after the accident. However, his parents and the local doctor soon found out that this Phil was not the original 12-year old kid that died in the crash. His conscience had somehow travelled home through the rock, and created a new body out of rock, right there in their garden. He can make himself look and feel like normal living flesh though.
Super Powers / Extraordinary Abilities:
-Phil is made of 100% rock, and is thus very hard to destroy.
-He regenerates very fast on rock, and when he's being, say, pulverised by a Doom Machine, his consciousness can travel through rock, abandoning one body and creating a new one elsewhere. If he just leaves a body, it will instantly look like normal rock though.
Disadvantages:
-No matter how much green the city of Lutonopolis has, there isn't much bare rock anywhere in between all the concrete and asphalt.
-He's often confused with Golem, and he hates it.
Gear: Nothing.
Quote:
"Ah might be a lump o' rock, but ah got more ov' a soul than you'll eva have, villain! Heh, that was cool. I'll drop the accent now, OK?"
For my twisted mind, and because a mage doesn't fit well, i changed my char
Edited: Now featuring Rambo with Wings!
Name :Kurt GoldStein
Alias : Fallen Angel
Appearance :
Kurt would be a normal person... if it weren't for the wings sticking out of his back. These wings are fairly big enough, and allows him to fly like a bird. Hence, why he chooses coats and jackets to cover them (barely, because it's hard to cover something that big). By that reason Kurt intends to avoid being seen when not fighting crime. His blonde hair and pitch blue eyes have gem's glow.
His clothes also speak where he had done in his past. Still being military fetishist, he loves militar related stuff, and of course guns. If you could see under the coat, you would see what a military fetishist wears. Boots & Camo. He also has a Nazi swastica tattoed on his arm.
When fighting crime, he wears a kevlar riot helmet, and a body armor, wich is made of polymer materials, looking like a heavenly creature in military attire, wich however, is far from the truth. A combat knife, grenades, and automatic weaponry complete the attire.
Personality :
What can i say more? He's a drill head, loves gratuite violence, is mean, tactless, and a womaniser. No wonder wich he chose the army. It was that, or the crime filled streets. And soldiers get more respect than thugs.
He still likes to remember his feats as a WW2 veteran, and often his commando missions. He also knows what secrets are to keep, and what can be told to impress the chicks.
He fights crime because it's the duty of a soldier to mop up the ass of whatever is attempting to take over the country, even if it's from the inside.
Super-Secret Origin Story :
Once a WW2 german SS soldier, he participated in a certain genetic experiment developed by fear and despair in the last stages on the War. Aging 27, he volunteered to be the first member of project Phoenix, wich had the objective to develop inmortal soldiers. Nevertheless , the experiment was a sucess, and had added bonus. The wings, originally designed as safety plug in case things went wrong for the country(and because the Führer was obsessed with religion-like things), worked well into sustaining the now genetically enhaced soldier.
The joy lasted not long, as the Allies placed the end to the third Reich.
After the war faded off, the project was forgotten. The third Reich had fallen. And Kurt opened his eyes to see that regardless of the brilliant and shiny appearence of the Führer, he had done many terrible things under his shadow. He had been fighting on the wrong side, and now had an eternity to compensate it. And so, he put his heart into eradicating what was against the peaceful life. He became the hunter of the hunters.
Superpowers/Extraordinary Abilities :
Fallen Angel has not many special abilities, in fact, it could be reduced to only one. But we are talking about IMMORTALITY here-Kurt is a hard (if possible) kill, bullets only make him meaner, mutilating him only gives time before the next attack. Eternal youth is included in this pack.
In addition to that, the wings on his back allow to fly and maneuver decently in airborne, but bird-like flight has nothing to do against the modern aircraft and choppers...
Regeneration comes in the pack, too. Regardless of damage,Kurt will be fully recovered within 48 hours via a regenerating cocoon. Kurt only regenerates when it's in dire need, because it exposes himself to attacks, and makes him vulnerable.
Disadvantages :
Limited immortality: As weird as it might be, Fallen Angel can be still KILLED. His wings are his main weak point. If they are completely destroyed, he doesn't not only loses his ability to fly... these wings are also the thing that gives him the faculty of inmortality, so he will be not any better than a "mortal" being.
Other ways to destroy him is to separate or completely destroy his head, or make him lose about the 60% (in mass) of his body.
Sloppiness: He takes little care, if any, in hot-spot situations. Giving his special power, would you worry about bullets going towards you?
Gear :
Riot Helmet
Kevlar Body Armor.
Boots
Grenades
Submachine gun & clips(MP5- yeah baby!)
Cigarettes.
Alcoholic stuff!

This is an Update on Magda's profile (I did warn you there may be one), so just ignore everything that was in the first one, it's not relvent anymore. Especially the background, as that was lame :p
Real Name: Magda Khara
Superhero Secret Identity: Visitor
Appearance: Magda, although alien, has a very human-like form. She stands just short of the average human female, and has a light, somewhat muscular figure. She has a pale yellow skin complexion, which becomes darker or lighter with her changing emotions. She has long, borderline silver hair, with no eye brows or eye lashes (as she has no eye-lids to begin with). Her eyes are pupilless, white pits that have a filter system underneath the protective layer that is drawn over them. Protecting her eyes from dirt, but not very well from intense light (sunlight she can manage, although not directly). She also has a third eye that actually does have an eyelid, and blinks on occasion. She also has no visible nose, although she may or may not ave gills on her neck. As far as her costume goes, she wears a purple cape with a long grey dress ("borrowed" from a friend of Solar Avenger), elbow long purple gloves with no shoes, as she never walks.
Personality: Magda is very distant, although far from cold. She likes to be alone, although she will be social and seems to enjoy these moments. Magda seems to have the strange ability to know how one is feeling without being told, which can be unnerving for some. While being alien may account for some of her discomfort, she seems to have problems around large crowds, stating she has what would be her races equivalent of a head-ache. Even if she has accepted somebody to be her close friend, she may still hold back vital information, especially about her own well-being.
Super-Secret Origin Story: Magda is a being from an unknown alien race from another solar system. She was sent to Earth with a team of other aliens of her race to prevent another alien race from futher aiding another race of human. However, something went wrong. And as the ship sped though the Earth's atmosphere, the complex engine system began to burn out and the crew slowly died from over heating. However, Magda was saved from such a fate. And was also saved again upon her landing. Completely unconcious, she was fished out of the river Lea before the Wescorp clean-up crew were dispatched, or the military could arrive at the scene. She later awoke to find a partly cybernetic, partly flesh man overlooking her. He was called the Solar Avenger, and she soon learned he could help her.
Super Powers / Extraordinary Abilities:
Constant Levitation: Magda's race levitate as opposed to walking.
Premonition: Magda has the uncanny ability to sense things before they happen
Immune to Psyhcic Powers
Can sense emotions.
The full extent of Magda's powers are quite unknown, however she displays feats of strength that should be beyond her form and has other little quirks that may or may not be a sign of more of her mysterious alien powers.
Disadvantages:
Vunrable to intense light.
Unable to fit in with humanity.
Vunerable to cold weather/powers. (her home planet was very warm)
Can often feel the emotional pain of others, which can drive her to despair.
Gear:
One handed, retractable staff. Forged from an alien strange, black alien metal and virtually indestructable.
Universal Translator: Allows her to talk in any human language, built into her brain.

Also, I'd like you to keep in mind the number of female characters involved. WOC became dominated by females, and I think it would be better if we kept the number down in this. After all, how many teams of super heroes have you see dominated by women, hmm?
That'll be because all comic writers are sexist motherfraggers. Women unite! GIRL POWER!
Real Name: Commissar Tanya Wescorp
Superhero Secret Identity: The Sonic Equalizer
Appearance: A petite, fair-skinned woman in tight silver leotard with a yellow/black stripy belt, and holsters strapped around her legs (like Lara Croft :p ). Purple furry boot covers on her legs. On her shoulders: Yellow-black stripy studded shoulderpads which deploy her sonic displacer screen.
Her face is concealed by a mirrored riot-squad type visor, and her hair sprouts in huge pigtails gradually shifting in colour from neon red to green to blue and back.
Personality: Tanya isn't from this reality - In fact she only dimly remembers the one she's from. She doesn't remember what an evil bitch she was, just that there were 'evildoers' (civilians to you and me) who needed to be punished (killed) for breaking the law (existing). All that remains is her inherent desire for justice, and to get back home - Taking Kered the damned into custody, dead or alive,
Tanya is dedicated to her job, but not without her sense of humour. She'll do her job and even take time to minimalise collateral damage to the city - Helping people and being nice feels alien and exotic to her, for reasons she doesn;t understand. When not in character, she works as a Wescorp Media exec, owing to her love and knowledge of all things musical.
Super-Secret Origin Story: From an alternate Earth where all weapons were banned at the end of WW3, The Sonic Equalizer was one of the privildged few chosen to keep society entertained and safe - Using sound-based 'Helping tools' (lethal weapons) to entertain the citizens one day, and keep them repressed under the rigid fascisto-communist style Neo-Earth society the next using their unique Sonic Blastmaser3000 weapons.
Chasing the wanted Criminal Kered the Damned across 'The Silence' - The legendary 50-mile wide crater from the 'final warhead' that ended the war within which no sound can be heard, Kered had led Sonic Equalizer - Then just plain Sonic Enforcer Tanya23 - Into his secret lair - His lair built over the powernexus using which he had channelled all the radiation into one maniacal scheme or another. Kered the Damned and Tanya fought - Until one of them triggered the powernexus' self destruct. Instead of atomizing them both instantly, both Heroine and Villain were thrown into 1960's Lutonopolis - The corresponding point in space in this timeline.
Dazed, Tanya got herself a job at Wescorp where her knowledge of Sonic weapons proved useful. She fitted into the repressive corporate structure easily, didn't mind about Wescorp's questionable ethics, and found the materials she needed to continue her instinctual fight against crime, and so...
Super Powers / Extraordinary Abilities:
1) Sonic Blastmaster3000 - Looks like an neon electric guitar which translates heavy riffage into sonic bolts that blast from twin heavy barrels mounted under the arm. The faster Tanya plays the guitare with her Chrome Plectrum of Comradeship, the faster the bolts are fired. The harder she plays, the more forceful they are. A quick pluck can lay a man unconsious - Power Chrords can make his arse explode or his brains boils out of his ears, also different notes can have different effects.
2) Sonic Displacer screen - Can 'throw' sounds from her playback equipment up to 50 metres. Her voice, another voice, etc.
3) Sonic Displacer screen 2 - When set into overdrive, the force of the screen - heard as a loud buzzing-feedback type noise - Can literally blast people from this plane of existence and back again, reappearing up to 100 metres away. Alternatively can be use to protect herself from projectiles.
Disadvantages: Low toughness - She's only small, and not well-built. She relies on her sonic displacer screen to protect against physical attacks, concussion etc.
Weakness to bad sounds - There is one 'bad sound' out there that will leave her completely helpless. Fortunately, no-one knows what it is.
Gear: See Sonic Blastmaster3000 and Sonic Displacer screen as above. Plus utility belt containing more Power Plectrums, Strings, Recording equipment etc.

Note: I'll most likely take this char as primary character, and give Granite a bit of a NPC role.
Real Name: Murat Aziz
Superhero Secret Identity: Charge
Appearance: Murat is a Moroccan, but his skin is almost black due to his mutation. As Charge, he wears a black suit with metal strips running through it in a tiger pattern and black sunglasses. The suit is made to conduct electric energy and sunlight (converted to heat by the black cloth) to his skin as fast as possible.
[Click here for picture] (http://www.planetcnc.com/cnc2sw/stuff/charge.jpg)
Personality: Charge has a dual personality; one side is the original Murat, the other the energy being that lives in his body. While Murat is generally a very calm man, the 'Charge' side of his personality is quick to judge people and see them a a threat to his existence. Charge would kill any criminal threatening other persons with physical harm.
Super-Secret Origin Story:
The being known as 'Charge' is the result of the merging of a man called Murat Aziz with a being of energy from a parallel universe.
In that parallel universe, matter doesn't exist, but the pure energy of the universe has stabilized itself in crystal-like forms that developed to the point of conscious life. For these beings, who travel at the speed of light, the distance of traversing our solar system would be like a 30-minute walk to the supermarket.
At the university of Lutonopolis, a poor undereducated foreign worker from Morocco called Murat Aziz was helping a professor set up an experiment to investigate some of the unknown effects of electromagnetic fields focussed on a single point.
The experiment somehow opened a dimensional gateway, sucking one of these energy beings into our universe, where all its energy started chaotically converting to all kinds of energy.
Murat, standing very close to the experiment, was the process of being burnt to a crisp, and the energy being was dying because it couldn't focus itself.
The being, quickly gaining understanding of the concept of matter and carbon life, realized that the released energy would soon cause a fusion reaction, not only destroying the being, but also the entire city of material life around it.
In a last attempt to save itself and the material being that was in the process of being destroyed by a sheer overdose of energy, the being mutated the body of Murat to be able to absorb and store all of its energy, altering his DNA to quickly grow biological batteries inside his body, grow pigment adapted to absorb all light, heat, electricity, magnetism and radiation and quickly convert it to electric energy. For the purpose of transferring that electric power, an entire enhanced duplicate of the neural network was formed in Murat's body. The new pigment changed Murat's skin color from light brown to pitch black.
Once the being regained control of itself and its host body, it found its consciousness to be merged with its host, thus creating a new lifeform referring to itself as "Charge".
Charge still has a somewhat dual consciousness though, referring to the two original sides as 'Murat' and 'Charge'.
Not being used to the concept of walking, the Charge part of the consciousness quickly made some more adaptations to Murat's body, making it capable of generating a force field that nullifies the earth's gravity, thus allowing himself to fly.
No one ever fully realized what happened though. in the end, the only noticable effect besides the total destruction of the experiment itself was Murat's darkened skin.
Murat/Charge kept working in the university, taking evening courses to get a diploma. His enhanced brain and Charge's absolute understanding of matter itself made the courses easy to pass, and he quickly enrolled in the university itself.
Some time after that, roughly two years after the change, Murat was shot during a bank robbery. Suddenly losing control, Charge was unable to contain his energy, and accidently released so much electricity everyone in the room was killed.
After that incident, which the police just referred to as a 'freak accident', Charge decided the city wasn't safe for people like him. However, he didn't intend to move away... instead, he was determined to completely wipe out crime in the entire city.
Super Powers / Extraordinary Abilities:
-Can convert any kind of energy (besides kinetic energy) to electric energy, making him invulnerable to nearly all energy weapons/abilities
-Can reconvert his internal energy into any form of energy he can absorb
-Can fly
-due to his natural affinity with energy he can feel flows of energy around him, like electric power in cables in walls, or sources of radioactivity.
Disadvantages:
-Physically weak
-When hurt or distracted his absorbing/storing system can fail, resulting in random releases of electric energy
-Can get exhausted after using too much power. City-wide blackouts have been reported in such cases ;)
Gear:
- Black absorbtion suit (see Appearance)
- a belt with a solid iron cilinder (15xd3 cm) in it, which he can use to enhance his magnetic powers.

Real Name: Joshua Coal
Superhero Secret Identity: The Barbeque Master
Appearance: The BBQ Master is dashingly handsome by day as Joshua Coal, with brown hair to math his hazel eyes. At night, as his superhero counter-personality, Josh wears a flame red spandex suit, with big heavy boots that help him harness his power, as well as a red helmet with yellow visor for protection.
Personality: Josh is a lady's man, and is never alone on the rare Saturday night where he isn't fighting crime. He is charming, easy going, and a good conversationalist. He makes friends easily, but when someone rubs him the wrong way, he'll hate them forever. First impressions last, especially in his case.
Super-Secret Origin Story: Two decades ago, the Russian army was developing a program for cyborg creation. One of the first cyborg experiments as melding a flamethrower and a man together, and the experiment went well, at first. But after few months, the cells in the human male's body reacted with the machine, and mutated by itself. This resulted in The Barbeque Master, a man who essentially is part flamethrower. Looking like any normal man, the BBQ Master can shoot flames through the palms of his hands and the bottoms of his feet.
Super Powers / Extraordinary Abilities:
Deadly Fire - He can shoot flame from his hands and feet.
Flight - With the help of his special boots, The BBQ Master can blast and hover through the air with ease.
Thermal Vision - His body has become calibrated to sense heat, and his vision is able to pick up thermal signals.
Disadvantages:
Water - Water can extinguish his flames before they can do damage. This makes all his powers except thermal vision useless during anything more serious than a light sprinkle outside.
Wind - Although not as bad, very hevy winds can also play havoc with the fire, blowing it out lie a candle.
Women - Very attractive females can distract The BBQ Master easily.
Gear: Uniform - Suit, helmet, and boots.

Name: (original: Lance Starbright) Tracer Bullet
Alter-Ego: N/A
Appearance: Tracer Bullet is blond and has brown eyes that give a serious look. He's about 5 ft' 7 tall. Wears brown trenchcoat made out of fake fur and wears typical detective hat, built like an athlete. Usually found smoking a cigarette.
"Super-Secret" Origin Story: Tracer was born to a perfectly ordinary family, the Starbrights. His parents became encouraged him to be competitive, smart and strong. He is an expert in karate, marksmanship and is quite strong. He became a detective not because of personal taste, but because he wanted to help people and help justice prevail. When he's not doing detective work he helps out the SSR. He thought that superpowers weren't neccessary to help him, but thanks to a Wescorp tanker carrying genetic enhancement fluids, he has the ability to sprint faster than a professional athlete, capable of dodging bullets (think the Matrix) and has superhuman flexibility in his bones.
Personality: Tracer Bullet is a no-nonsense type of person. He never lets his feelings get in the way. A strong-willed man, he knows no fear, no danger or no barriers. He only trusts his closest friends (i.e. Solar Avenger), and is not very forgiving, yet occasionally he forgives and shows mercy....

BA, check your PM's (and if it's not there yet, check it later :p)
The newly reformed Solar Avenger. As with Magda, ignore everything that was said in the last incantation of this profile. Captain Iceland is missing, persumed dead and a legend in the super hero world :color1:
Name: James Wintergreen
Superhero Secret Identity: Solar Avenger
Apperance: James is different from conventional super heroes. In that his normal life is just a mask. Literally. James' "normal face" is but a specially moulded plastic mask, which which features strong features, steeley blue eyes and usually a friendly smile. James' premature silver hair is kept short, and also very neat and tidy. And he usually wears a pinstripe suit with a pale blue shirt with a red tie and finally, a bowler hat and umbrella.
Under the mask however, is a being that is more machine then human. He's a fusion of metal, flesh and lashings of gold paint. Half of his face is dominated by metal, while the other is completely bald (shaven, as having half a head of hair looks silly) with lifeless, red cyber eyes. The rest of his body is a melding of flesh and metal, although mostly metal. He has painted various small details on his body in gold paint, including his insignia (a gold light bulb with a black beast trapped inside) on his chest. The only items of clothing Solar Avenger does wear are his light resistant goggles and his belt, In which he keeps many small trinkets. This also serves as his back up power supply, his main being the tiny Solar Pannels that line his back.
Personality: Wintergreen is generally a relaxed person. He misses humanity, or rather, he misses being biological. But he doesn't let it dominate his life. As Solar Avenger, Wintergreen is focused, determined and a stern leader. He doesn't tolerate infighting, as he saw it tear the legendary team of Captain Iceland apart. However, he's loyal to his team mates and his friends and is capable of showing compassion to even the lowliest scum in the criminal underworld. Solar Avenger is more of a fighter with an edge then a power based hero. He melds his unique ability of light control with his amazing fighting skills to give his attacks more of a punch. Solar Avenger also has a dark side. He has strong links with both Madame Octopus and Doctor Irvine Wallace, which he refuses to talk about and also has a strange facsination with the alien being Magda.
Super-Secret Origin Story: Born in London, James was a young recruit of the legendary Captain Iceland when he himself came to the city. James trained under him and became a side-kick of sorts, fighting crime with him and his team of super heroes. While not having any powers at this point, James was in good physical shape and could easily battle some of the toughest villains with the help of his friends. However, it wasn't to last. After years of vicious infighting and James himself almost being killed, the team was disbanded. James hung up his costume and left London, moving much closer to the Midlands. To forge a new life as a simple civilian.
However, it wasn't long before James' life was shattered again. During a trip to his new office job in the newly built Rotuntra building (it's more then just an eyesore in this time-line, ok? :p) the train he was on colided with another train. Most of the travellers were killed, but James survived. He was taken away and given treatment, but he wasn't expected to live long. This is when a Doctor Irvine Wallace, an employee of Wescorp's robotic divison stepped in. Wallace replaced many parts of James' body with complex robotics. Allowing him not only to live again, but also to (although with some cosmetic work) slip into humanity seamlessly. James also asked Wallace to make a special device to channel the solar power collected from the pannels on his back into a ray of light.
With this new identy and power, James, now The Solar Avenger, travelled to Lutonpololis. Here, he tried to track down his old friends. Only to find most of them were dead and Captain Iceland missing. Even his alter ego, Ervik Steriosson had vanished without a trace. However, Solar Avenger did find Madame Octopus, who refused to talk to him as she thought he was Captain Iceland and blamed him for the death of everyone else. Hard-hearted, Solar Avenger took to crime fighting in Lutonopolis alone. He founded the company FreeMedia studios as a cover for his base of operations. For underneath the studio is a high-tech building that serves as home and nerves centre for the Solar Avenger. However, after an eventful fight with the mysterious Blue Aura, Solar Avenger realised he needed help. He set about forming a team of his own, The Secret Reserve.
Super Powers/Extraordinary Abilities:
Boosted Strength: As a result of an incredible amount of physical training and his robotic enhancements, Solar Avenger is stronger then the average man and easily a match for villians such as the Lumberjack.
Boosted Reflexes: For the same reasons, Solar Avenger is amazingly fast and agile. While not on par with say, Blue Aura and Spring Heeled Jack, Solver Avenger can easily dodge attacks and deliver hard hitting hand-to-hand attacks of his own.
Light Manipulation Device: A device built into his arm that allows him to manipulate light into many different shapes.
Disadvantages:
Loyalty: Solar Avenger feels bound to his team mates and friends, and will refuse to leave them behind.
More the Human: Electro-magnetic pulses will play havoc with Solar Avenger's robotic parts. Also, if the enemy knows how they actually work, is able to hack is system or has control of magnetic devices he may be in trouble.
In dark places, Solar Avenger will become weaker and weaker.
Crimminal connections: As Solar Avenger tried to go it alone before forming SSR, he is already known to many of the criminal's in Lutonopolis. If only as a myth or rumour in some cases.

REDONE : THE DRAMATIC DIVA EX MACHINA!!!!!
Real Name : Riona Chasey
Superhero Secret Identity : Diva Ex Machina (Machina or Diva to her friends)
Appearance : Riona is an woman of unknown agestanding approximately 5”8” tall - she has auburn hair that descends halfway down her back, green eyes, and a pointed nose, and appearing to be in her early twenties – overall, she’s one of the more attractive specimens of humanity (although this could just be because, with her powers, she can look like what she wants to). Rinoa dresses in appropriately normal human clothes, and is indistinguishable from an average human when she is not using her super powers.
Personality :
Riona is, by all respects, a manipulative and callous bitch. She doesn't care about the noble ideals of the SSR, nor the continual fight against communism - just that her personal needs are fulfilled, and she stays as closely nestled in the lap of luxury as possible. Riona has a vengeful temper and a frightening intelligence - which may lead to problems down the line. However, Riona shows the potential to change over time - she's been isolated from "normality" for a long while and yearns to return to it from the comforts of her perfect life. Her colleagues often regarded Riona as something of a joke, mainly because she was a young woman in a field dominated by older men. Although she enjoys the use of her powers, sometimes she does wish to return to her normal life before her accident – sometimes people notice that she always looks exactly the same – it is hard for her to use here powers to make small changes like the gradual signs of ageing. In addition. Riona does not swear normally, apart from using "Bloody", and "Bloody Hell".
Note : Riona is adept at keeping the less desirous qualities of her personality under wraps. Other characters will only learn how bad she can be by EXPERIANCE - she's highly attractive, making what is evident less noticeable :p
Super-Secret Origin : Riona was one of the aspiring young scientists inducted into the USNE government’s secret nanotechnology project, determined to create new weapons powered by these machines in the eternal battle against the soviets. Working long hours and in great secrecy, it is little wonder that slip-ups were made – and one of them proved almost fatal. Riona accidentally inhaled a quantity of prototype nanomachines. These bizarrely replaced the blood in her bloodstream, and interfaced with her brain, providing her with the power to control them at will – although she was not to find this out until much later, nor even the fact that she had taken in the machines in the first place. A year later, this fledgling project was shut down, and it’s employees dismissed, many taking up jobs with various corporations in their own attempts to manipulate science to their advantage. Riona, however, upon discovering her power, found out that she didn’t need to do this, and quit her job with Wescorp – she could literally create money from thin air! After squandering her newfound talents for several years, living under her new name of Riona Chasey (she hasn’t revealed what it was before) in trendy Lutonopolis, she would eventually be discovered by Solar Avenger…
Super Powers :
Some healing– with her body made of living machinery, and being constantly rebuilt from the trace elements in the air around her, Diva Ex Machina can heal minor injuries. Larger ones, such as losing an arm or leg, may eventually regrow but will take a long time.
Morph – Due to the nanomachines inhabiting her body, Riona can morph into various different forms, with the tiny robots constructing new shapes and mechanisms. In this way, Riona can create a weapon from thin air, or change shape to look like someone else. Riona is currently limited to morphing into human-shaped beings, as she hasn't learnt to seriously modify her internal structure yet. Diva has a few stock 'morphs' she can use at will (I'll list these later), but normally she has to get a good look at what she's morphing into to use them. Normally, morphing will only take in the external characteristics of the subject.
Modify - by using a small sample of her blood, Diva can, over time, subtly alter the world around her. Examples of what she is currently capable of include pricking her finger to release nanomachines over a dress to rebuild it in a different colour overnight, or giving a few to a plant to encourage it's growth.
Weaknesses :
Time : It takes time for Diva Ex Machina to repair her body and change form – so keep riddling her full of bullets and she’s likely to stay down.
EMP : If affected by a weapon producing electromagnetic pulse, nearly all of Diva Ex Machina’s powers will shut down, causing her to be stuck in any form she is currently in. However, a few will survive, and eventually recreate the others, meaning that she is not permanently disabled by these effects.
Fragile - Diva Ex Machina is quite fragile, compared to the other muscle-bound heros on the team.
Gear :
None (she can make what she needs)

Edit:Char removed. Possibly another insane built char coming soon?
Edit2: You know THIS spot was free in the team.
Name: Lord Walter Ryan Mason
(Super)Hero Secret Identity:----
Appearence: Sloppy dressed, often unshaved, wearing a lab coat and protection glasses, Ryan often gives the partly wrong expression of a mad scientist who is prone to lock up himself on a dark basement and laugh maniacally. His curly, raven hair and brown eyes are cute, however they loss a lot because the unshaved face they are placed. However, the cute eyes are not the only thing that stand up for Ryan. Unlike average scientist, Ryan has somewhat of a high physical condition, comparable to the law-keeping guys such as policemen. It is yet unclear why ryan cares about his body that much, considering he's usually a man-behind de action. Rumours say he is just preparing himself for a more d¡rect intervention...
Personality:Often called mad and foolish, Ryan is a genius of modern time. He usually finds workarounds that no one has thought before of it, and apply them until they prove effective, and is not very likely to surrender. He's perseverant, he's smart, and he knows how to fend off by himself. About his social relationship (or the current lack of it), Ryan was known as a ladies' man not soon ago in his freshmen years. Such behaviour was replaced by the inquiring scientific mind after, however, Mason still holds a large chunk of knowledge about flirting--- he doesn't use it because he has little time for those when investigating.
He also hates being called Walter. Given his perseverance and wits, he's not prone to take revenge easily, but if given the situation, he can be really twisted--- able to match up some of the villains the SSR fight against.
Super Secret Origin: Born in the now-nearly extincted noble families, lil' Walter had always resources to do whatever he wanted to do. His mind helped him to go through the studies like a blaze, finding himself bored to death many times. In such time, Ryan developed his reputation as ladies man. If he had followed that way, he would have ended like a crazy noble... but someday, his eyes opened wide to the philantropy: the world was wrong, and even noble people needed to give a hand to restore it.
So,after his career, he become a top R+D scientist, developing weapons with the excuse of peace. Not soon after he realized that developing weapons for a government wasn't the right choice.
And then he heard about the superheroes.Whose not self-interested efforts helped people to thrive in the modern world. And then he met Solar Avenger.Soon after, Ryan offered himself to side with Solar Avenger to fight for the rights of the people.
Super Powers: NONE!--- uh wait, maybe something.
XR-68: An experimental weapon that Ryan has developed. It is, to all effects, a functional railgun, capable of fending off thick armor.
NFG: It stands for Neutron Flare Grenade. These small grenades, when exploding, shower a small radius with neutron radiation. Neutrons are highly penetrating, and damage both tissue and fairly advanced electronic devices, while keeping structures rather untouched.
Premonition: Ryan had always the ability to see the consequences of certain actions before they happen, somewhat of an extended reflex sixth sense, wich triggers when something dangerous is going to happen around him. He claims it's because of his intelligence, but it has been proven many times it is not only that...
Weaknesses:
Ryan is to all lights, still human. Human with a LOT of resources, specially money;but still human. His phisical shape can make him resist more than the average citizen, but is still ridicoulous compared to the brawn members of the team.
(Combat) Gear:
Protective Helmet
Body Armor
Camo suit
XR-68
NFG Launcher (attached to the XR-68).
(research) Gear:
Lab Coat
Eye protection
Small Revolver

A while ago I found the really neat Hero Machine (http://www.ugo.com/channels/freestyle/heroMachine/heromachine.asp), and used it to create a picture for both Granite and Charge :D
So... here they are:
Granite in mid-transformation, and Charge... well, charging up :p

I posted a link to the Heromachine website a few months ago. Just thought I'd mention that. ;) I have a superhero team I made up called "Intrepid". They consist of Spectrum, Uncle Samson, Hydropower Man, Mercury, and Whirlwind. I have a story for each one of them how they acquired their powers, but I don't have time to do the RPG.

Dude... first of all, I haven't left the RPG forum in months.
Secondly, I found it myself. With Google. M'kay?
I used to make an entire team of superheroes too, some years ago... but they were in X-men universe, so I didn't need a background for their powers. I've written the life story of one of them though... called Dragon. Could heat up stuff by staring at it, and had four arms.
But Dragon is already an overused name in this forum, and he just wouldn't fit in here :p
Granite is from that team too though. Was called Golem in it, but well... AI beat me to that name ^_^
