The First (Possibly, we'll see how this goes :p) Annual AL Story Writing Competition!

Come one, come all, join in on the hilarity (or what might very well be the lack thereof!).

This is a story competition, with a twist ripped off from VO and made with the help of your friendly, neighborhood Aies! Write a story, not too short and not too long, which includes the following items, quotes, and referances:

A group of leprechauns
A wheelbarrow with training wheels
A warehouse full of canned spam
A talking dog with a scottish accent
A boat shaped like a taco
A blow-up sheep sex doll
A NASCAR pit crew
A glass pyramid
Pepsi-flavored chewing gum
The Icelandic Flag
A man wearing a French maid's outfit
A Gibbon grooming kit
3 references to Scotland (haggis, kilts, etc :p)
1 reference to blue hair dye
And the quotes:
"I'll be sleeping with one eye open."
"I like nachos, butthead!"
"Next you'll be putting on blue spandex, wearing your underwear over your trousers and calling yourself lughead!"


To enter, create a thread in FanFic with the Prefix AL's SWC: before the title. Entries must be in by July 1st, at which time the poll will open for voting. Any type of story may be written, whether its serious, funny, or a mix of the two. I will give out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes (an maybe Moo will gove you trophies :p) after the poll is closed, plus the special "AL's Pick" award for my personal favorite (as I won't be entering). Personally, I think it would use more creativity to include all of those things in a way that makes at least a little bit of sense. The whole point, in truth, is to make a humerous story, although I left the door open on seriousness incase people wanted to go in that direction.

And if you've got a problem with somebody, hit the PM button, don't spam up my thread please.

OK, sorry for the DP, but I have an annoucement:

There aren't any entries yet, and even though nobody seems very interested, I'm going to push the deadline back to July 10th. This will give people extra time to get things together (plus this bump of the topic might catch some people's interest, or help people who never read this notice it). So please get your entries in! If the 10th still isn't enough time, PM me and I'll try to see what I can do ;)

AL, may I suggest something?

There are a lot of items there, and you MIGHT get more of a response (and more individuality in the story) if you let people pick a minimum of so many items and quotes. Like say, 6-7 items and 2 quotes?
