Ok, we have some RPG-related problems here at the moment. Although WOC has been silent for a while due to exams, I intended to continue with it yesterday, although certain events have made this a much more difficult descision. We also have the problem of AI's rpg.
For those that don't know, Artificial Idiot has taken an indefinate amount of time away from the DEN - I don't know when he'll be back, so as far as his RPG, SSR, is going, I suspect I'll be locking that shortly until his return.
On the subject of WOC, we now have something of a dilemma. I foolishly planned WOC without taking into account the fact that players will leave - since it's inception, both Tag and Mr Happy Pants have dissappeared from the DENS, but these both happened only a short time after the beginnings of the RPG, allowing myself to take up Tag's character and AI MHP's - the logic behind this was that these characters could develop as background characters to the main storyline without dropping them / killing them off, in the off-chance that their owner was to return.
However, with AI leaving, this places me with four absent characters in WOC - Kilvox, Alay, Jarvis and Delion - and two of my own to play, as well as maintaining the overall storyline (which I'm now in the position of having to do on my own, as AI shouldered a great deal of the work beforehands). I don't really think that I have enough time to do this, as well as the fact that I don't think I can emulate the unique writing style and wit that AI brings to the RPGs he participates in. Don't make any mistake - I do want to continue WOC, as long as you guys do as well, and definately do NOT want to stop running it or disregard the effort the players have made into developing characters and writing some of the best posts I've seen in this forum - but I can't see any concievable way without completely altering the structure of the story, something I don't really want to do.
So that's it. If anyone has any suggestions or comments, feel free to air them - players of SSR note that I will probably lock that game's thread, and I apologise to WOC players for the long empty period of the last month or so, and the lack of much future, as far as I can see, for the RPG.
