Ok, some of you may be wondering what has been going on recently with all the SSR threads being locked up tight. Well, basically, the current version of SSR really isn't working out for me. And in an effort to make everything much more tighter, and actually produce an RPG with well planned stories (starting this after major exams, in retrospect, was a bad idea), with a few more limitations and a few more open boundries in an effort to make it a much tighter, enjoyable experiance.

Basically, there are no major changes in the area or background on Lutonpolis it's self, however, there are some major villain changes which will come later and some new limitations I've set on powers and characters at the bottom.

Anyway, as soon as myself and vo have fully planned out the next chapter, the main RPG will be coming along. However, in the meantime, here's some general information...

Neo-England's Finest: A Character Thread (http://forums.cncden.com/showthread.php?t=4390)

All character profiles go in this thread. If you don't have at least one COMPLETE profile in that thread, you're not eligble to play. Profiles of dead characters don't count (unless they're revived, then they're not exactly dead are they?). Please don't post incomplete profiles in there either... mainly as it's stupid in any case.

Everything else should be explained in the thread.

Background

The world of SSR is an alternate reality. It's all those corny (and not so corny) comics you've ever read brought to life, with only one twist. It's not in America. The SSR world is a world full of Super Humans, Genetic Mistakes, Gods, Monsters, Mad scientists, Communists, Gangsters, amoung other evils. The SSR world needs heroes, and fortunatly, it has us.
SSR takes place in the 1999's, dominated not only by the multi-national business giant Wescorp, but by everything from common criminals to genetic nightmares the world is looking for quick fixes and easy solutions. The military and police are streached to the limit, trying to keep the peace, The mega corperations work tirelessly to "serve the greater good of the people" by obliterating their buisness rivals and growing fat on thier profits and thousands of so called "super humans" battle on with thier own agenda. All living in fear that one day, racial stigma will cause the people to turn on them.

With so called "Super Villains" tearing their country apart from the inside and the public demanding a visible solution, the government approved the creation of a new division. A division that would put a stop to this Super Villain threat and appease the uneasy public. This division is called The Secret Reserve.

The United States of Neo-England:

Neo-England is the proverbial centre of the world. The strongest, most influencial country in the world, it's generally seen that the only thing standing between Red domination and peace is the USNE. These are, obviously, exagerations. In truth, Neo-England has been struggling since the days of WWII. The war hit Neo-England harder then most of the world thinks, and the cracks are begining to show.
Never fully recovering from the impact of the war, the war with the Soviets has grinded them down even futher. Not to mention Neo-England seems to be the country having the hardest time coping with the new Super Human phenomonon that sprung up just before WWII started. Where other countries, like the USSR and Germany seemed to have this new breed of humanity under control, the USNE have let them run rampant for years. While some do good for thier own accord, or try to live a perfectly normal life. A majority just live to bring hell to the residents of Neo-England.
The destrucstion of London has also been a hard ordeal to cope with. With the colonies seeing it as a sign of weakness and revolting on a regular basis and even Scotland and Ireland have seen a fair amount of up risings in their time.
The only reason Neo-England is still a float is their strong will, determained stubborness and of course, thier powerful corparations. With more and more of the public services being privatised by "WesCorp", and smaller companies being devoured every day. It has been theorised that between them, Wecorp and CKW Enterprises pocess more money then the government it's self.

The United Jack

The flag of Neo England (as seen below) has several pieces of important symbology.

Stripes: Each red stripe is for one state of Neo England. One for England, one for Scotland, one for Wales and one for Ireland
St. Georges Cross: To show, although United, England is at the heart of it all.
Black and White: To show they are united in both darkness and light.

Lutonopolis

While Birmingham may be the new capital, Lutonpolis is most certaintly the business central of the USNE. It's where all the major businesses such as Wescorp and CKW Enterprises are situated in this city, as are countless small companies.

Areas

Town Centre/Inner City: The town centre and inner city areas serve as a home for manufacturing plants, offices, shops (such as StreetMart) and other places of business. In the town centre, The Town Hall, Daily Rumour Tower and several Wescorp and CKW office blocks. The Town Centre also hosts an amazing amount of sky scrapers, Wescorp and CKW preferring to build upwards in this area, as opposed to outwards. On the outskirts of the Town Centre, just inside the Inner City, resides the StreetMart warehouse and the Museum of Delicate Objects (as it used to be a Victorian needle factory, and is too fragile to move elsewhere) and inside the Inner City it's self, can be found the main base of CKW. There are also many minor Wescorp factories, most of them had their production run cancelled and moved to the Complex when it was built. CKW is making an effort to take these over, but to no avail. And what have been come to be known as "The Slums". Simply for ex-wescorp employee's who lost their job and people who can't afford to live in the suburbs. Crime is high here, and many a super villain and Communist have used these slum areas as a base of operations and even a recruiting post.

Suburbs: The greener part of Lutonopolis, the Suburbs are home to many entertainment facilities and housing that goes from decent, to the "white picket fence, perfect family home" type of housing. In this area resides such landmarks like Wescorp Municipal Park, The City Zoo, Wescorp Elementary and the Hubert Tagworthy Memorial Arena. It also has a fair share of StreetMart outlets, as well as the CKW owned "Playtime!" toy store.

Out of Town: On the outskirts of town, Wescorp Industrial Complex dominates the landscape. It's as though is sprawls from the centre outwards, like a blanket made from steel and plastics. The Wescorp Complex is home to many of Wescorps employees and other valuable assets. It also has a fully functioning defensive system, in case of Soviet attacks. Also on the outskirts of town, lie the Uberbeck estate, Military base Area 15, the Lutonopolis Inter-link suspension bridge and "Grassy Knoll" Power Plant.

Places of interest

Wescorp Industries Complex: A sprawling maze of factories, offices, worker homes, etc. The Wescorp Industries compound dominates the out skirts o the city. While there is also a main office and factory plant in the inner city, the compound is the heart and soul of Wescorp Industries. Ever expanding, it is a centre point for business around the world. The main components of the compound are Dean Mansion, a large penthouse villa, full of exotic treasures and home to the Dean family. Wescorp info-technology tower, a 20 storey high building where all the management and communication are taken care of. And of course, the many factories and design studios that make up the backbone of Wescorp. There is rumoured to be a top secret weapons testing plant beneath the Compound, but such rumours are as yet unproven.

Area 15: Area 15 is a secret military base situated about 3-4 miles away from the Wescorp Compound. It is heavily guarded, with surveillance cameras, heat sensors and armed guards all over the place. However, anybody lucky enough to see the compound would wonder what all the fuss is about. On the outside, it is nothing more then an RAF base, however, it is rumoured that they are keeping mutants from the tragic nuclear attack on London, where at the heat of the conflict with the Soviets, both London and Moscow were destroyed. It is also said that they keep aliens and their space craft locked deep below the base.

Company of Kashemir World-wide: The Company of Kashemir World-wide (Otherwise known as CKW), is a Japanese toy makers that exported it's business to Britain in the late 1950's. Now they have a stable base in inner city Lutonopolis, beating off their much larger rival Wescorp, they now produce the finest quality toys in all Neo-England. However, an article in "The Daily Rumour" points out that there might be a more sinister aspect to the company. Children who apply for toy testing, come out much more passive. CKW PR agents have denied this as "Wescorp lies!" Wescorp declined to comment.

Wescorp Municipal Park : Situated in the heart of Lutonopolis and irrigated from recycled sewer water, Wescorp Municipal Park is the life and soul of the city. Here, the annual Wesfest music festival is held, and throughout the rest of the year it’s spacious lawns provide ample refuge from the rigour and bustle of city life
it’s said that in the centre of the park, you can barely hear the noise from the highway that runs alongside it! The park covers approximately three square miles, and borders the Wescorp-owned city zoo, and contains the sparkling river that runs through the heart of Lutonopolis

Lutonopolis Inter-link suspension Bridge: The suspension bridge that leads out of town and runs right over the River Lea's widest part as it runs out of the city. The suspension Bridge is a structural marvel, the first of it's kind to be powered by hydro-electricity. The Bridge is maintained by funding from both Wescorp and CKW, who set aside their differences to pave the way for a bright, and wonderful future for Lutonopolis.

"Grassy Knoll" Power Plant : The Nuclear power plant on Lutonopolis’s grassy knoll, to the north of the city, provides more than enough electricity to run everything 24/7 and if you stand outside the plant during the early hours of the morning, the bright lights of the city only serve to illustrate this. Grassy Knoll is Neo-England’s oldest surviving nuclear plant, as well as being the largest in the country and despite fears that incidents such as the recent suspected radiation leak could become more common due to outdated equipment, Wescorp owners reassure us that this is nothing to worry about.

FreeMedia Studios: FreeMedia is a new, independant channel, Free of Wescorp control. It is most notable by two things, it's unbiased news coverage of top stories. And the second is the fact that it is said to recieve large donations from CKW. The studio it's self is an ex-Wescorp "Meat Processing" plant set in the inner city and restored by a team of dedicated staff. However, FreeMedia news reporters are usually a common sight after a so called "Super Hero sighting".

The Lutonpolis National Heritage Museum (aka: The Museum of delicate objects): The Museum is the longest established entertainment facility that still exists in Lutonopolis. Built in the early Victorian era as a needle workers factory, the museum is the oldest example of Victorian architecture in Neo-England. And almost as fragile as the objects it contains. It makes for a splendid day out, just watch your step, as the museum works on the strict Wescorp policy. 'You break it, you buy it!

StreetMart Chain Stores: StreetMart is the hip, happening new supermarche in town! It has everything you need, from groceries to funky lava lamps, right up to Ovens and automatic shotguns, If you have a license. And as a branch of Wescorp, you know you can only expect the best quality merchandise on the market! The StreetMart warehouse stocks pretty much everything and anything.

Lutonpololis Town Hall: Lutonpolis Town Hall is the political heart of the city. It is where Mayor Randuff Nyerguds, now sitting in his 5th term in office makes the decisions that make this city tick! There have been some suspicious rumours going around that Nyerguds is just a puppet to Wescorp, but Wescorp spokes people say respects the civil rights and liberties of the Neo-English people, and would never stoop so low.

Daily Rumour Tower: Towering over downtown Lutonopolis, the headquarters of Neo-England’s best selling newspaper is truly a wonder to behold! Thirty stories high, and built using revolutionary new construction methods, The Daily Rumour offices actually only occupy four of the highest floors in the tower (below the revolving restaurant). Despite this, due partly to the sensational headlines produced by the paper’s editor, Michelle Streams, the tower has earned the nickname of “The Rumour Mill”.

Arena: The Hubert Tagworthy Memorial Arena is named after Lutonopolis sports legend, Hubert "The Gibbon" Tagworthy. An air-ball champion. Set just in the suburbs of Lutonopolis, the Arena has full car parking facilities, ten separate built in Micro-StreetMart gift shops and a new system of fold up "Turf-Foil" developed by Wescorp. The Arena is host to a great amount of sporting events, but not only that! Music Concerts are frequently held within it's solid, reenforced steel and concrete walls and it also serves as a focal point for community events. The Arena is also home to the "Lutonopolis Titans", Air-ball champions for 3 years in a row.

Technology:

The average Joe is working at normal, 1960's tech levels. Meaning that there are NO dvd players, Colour TV's are rare and these standards also cross over to weaponry.

However, the rich Corps, businesses, aliens, travellers from another dimension/timeline and anybody with a huge fiancial backing and advanced research team have not only modern standards of technology, but are often beyond that. So, it's more likely to see a computer in a Governmental building then a normal home and it's more common to see an exotic/advanced weaponry on a Wescorp guard or alien then a normal street punk.

Space Travel is not possible at this moment in time, but the USSR and USNE are working on it.

Misc stuff about Powers

I'm trying not to be too strict on powers. But I am going to write a few guidelines on the big powers, and something that has been bothing me with one or two characters. I may add more to this as time goes on and I encounter problems with certain powers, but otherwise, this is as limited as I want to stay.

MAGIC

Magic users walk a fine line between insanity and raw power. Each time they use their powers, they walk amoung terrible demons and monstrosities beyond their comprehension. Using magic is dangerous, and there are few who can truely say they have mastered it. There are generally four schools of thought on how to aquire magic. These are as follows...

Birthright: A rarity. A person is born with the natural genetic structure to proform magical spells. However, these individuals have to be aquired from birth and trained rigoursly from then on. To be good at magic, you need to be at least 50 and to be exceptional, you need to be 70 (although, most magicians don't live that long).

Soul Rending: This form of magic is the most wicked of them all. This form of magic involves ripping it from another man's soul, forever tainting your own and leaving the other man a shell of his former self. Even if the person involved had good intentions, almost all users of this form turn wicked and demented over time.

Summoned: You are a being summoned by the raw power of magic. Usually an elemental. The downside to this form of magic is you are an emotionless slave to the one who summoned you.

Artifact: The most restricted form of magic. You either pocess, or are influenced by a magical artifact. This generally only provides certain advantages, and usually very few.

I don't mind people having psychic powers, however, mind control is a definate NO! I don't mind people moving things around with thier mind, premonitions and I'll go as far to say emotion reading is fine, but NO and I mean NO mind reading.

A note on Shape Shifting. I'd prefer it if you you guys only stuck to humanoids or animals alone. So for example, Diva couldn't change into a kangaroo and let's say, a hero named "One man circus", who can change into any animal alive can't change into any humanoid he likes.

I'd also like to note that this is NOT ShadowZero, and from here on, characters like Tracer and Ryan will NOT exist. Basically, this is an RPG about superheroes. It's about people with extraordinary gifts, not about normal people with a slight edge (and I hardly count an obscure formula and some advanced weaponry as an edge). I'm not saying Human characters with advanced tech are off-limits, not at all. Look at Sonic Equaliser, she's something I could really see on the pages of a comic and be INTERESTED in. As Theoretically, you should be able to make a separate comic about each one of the characters. I'm sorry if I singled people out, but this also goes for all of you and any future characters you make.

P.S, for those who want to argue the Punisher point. First off, Punisher isnt a superhero. He's a guy who hunts down mobsters for revenge, and you definatly wouldn't see him battling Super Villains like Magneato or The Joker, would you?

Also, remember, this is still an RPG. You can have all the superpowers or advanced technology in the world, but if your character is dull as ditch water or too overpowering*, then it means nothing. Also, I feel that people should have powers and personality that reflect their backgrounds. So just saying your character is the smartest man alive and giving him a sledehammer is a bit out of place.

(I.E: You character shouldn't stop a room of people talking everytime he does something)

The first lot of NPC profiles. The profiles for the general Lutonpolis inhabitants will be coming soon.

Chaos King's Warriors

Chaos King's Warriors are a band ruthless of mercanaries. Under the cold ruling of Chaos King, these super humans are sold to the highest bidder and have an extremely impressive reputation. The Warriors also do personal work for Chaos King himself, mostly stealing priceless artifacts for his collection. While each alone, they are usually bloodthirsty and utterly ruthless. The warriors display a very strong bond with each other and indeed the Chaos King himself. Each one is hopelessly bound to his service, going right up to the point of turning down high paid jobs and even dying for him.

Name: Chaos King

Apperance: There is no recordered apperance of the Chaos King on any files in the world. And his alter-ego hasn't been seen in years.

Origin: Chaos King was once an average, business student named Charlie Knight at The New Royal Lutonopolis Adcademic Collage. Charlie had always been interested in mystic things and priceless, historical artifiacts. In fact, it was during his time in Anatolia, Greece, that his destiny was forged. During a visit to one of Greece's ancient ruins, Charlie, much by accident, uncovered a hidden passageway.

The passageway it's self was amazing, each flaming torch seeming to light for him as he went past, but the main chamber was literally breath taking. Then he noticed, a small, undetailed, silver goblet with an ebony handle sitting at the other end of the table. It was filled, nay, almost overflowing with blood red liquid. As an unwitting Master Knight reached out and grasped the goblet in his hand, a seering pain ran though his entire body. Images of demons running rampant on Earth, great battlefields filled with the dead and the dying, rivers running red with blood and the mocking laughter of foul beasts. But he drank anyway, as if forces beyond his power compelled him to do so. Oddly enough, he felt fine after drinking it. Better in fact. It was like a great, headache tablet to all his woes and troubles. Except unlike most headache tablets, this actually worked.

Charlie went years and years without noticing any effect. He passed his course in business with flying colours, set up his own small business, C.K.W Enterprises, and felt as if he was on top of the world. However, he soon became bitter, lustful, seeking more, always more. He kept this wild urges down for months. Until one day, during a press conference, an assassination attempt took place. Both assassin and businessman were stunned when the bullet seemed to veer from it's path and miss Charles completely. This made Charles realise, the effect of the liquid he had drank back in that little known chamber in Anatolia. He had become the luckiest man alive, and could well be the most powerful man too!

What he failed to realise was that sucess had also become a drug. That even if he conquered the known and unknown universe, that still wouldn't be enough. He'd always need a bigger conquest, a larger challenge a more priceless artifact. So it was that Charlie Knight, the little known Business student became Charles K. Warrickson, International business man who was also the one and only lord of the underbelly of Lutonpolis, The Chaos King. Chaos King uses his vast business and criminal connections as well as his own special team of highly trained warriors to get whatever he wants, when he wants it.

Powers:
Chaos King is the luckiest man alive. Nothing can touch him, no harm can ever come to him. However, it doesn't mean that all his plans come off smoothly. Although, his minions tend to come off worse then he does.

While Chaos King has no other powers, his extremely large bank account, countless connections and overwhelming attitude see him though almost any situation.

------

Name: Blue Aura

Apperance: Blue Aura is a stunning woman, one with a body that you'll never forget. Slim and well toned, she retains the best of both worlds. A slim, feminnine figure with small muscles poking though her uniform that seem to complment her natural beauty. With very, very pale skin. Blue Aura is rather short in stature, with long, dark hair, done in a very long, free flowing pig-tail" style, and eyes with a dark, husky feel to them. As if her gaze isn't quite set on you. Not like either hair or eye colour matters, as her hair turns blue at night or in nightclubs (which is a handy party trick) and usually has rather stylish, tinted goggles over her eyes. Blue Aura's uniform is made of a figure hugging, Navy Blue fabric, that covers all her body. Black, high heeled boots, black, elbow length gloves (palmless) and a long, black cape.

Origin: Blue Aura is the unknown daughter of the Dean family. Cast out by a spiteful Mr. and Mrs. Dean smiply for being female. Cast into the waste and sludge that is pumped out by Wescorp very single day and slowly killing Neo-England, she should have died. But she did not. Mutated, weak, feeble and just a smear on the pavement as far as people were concerned. Blue Aura lived a wretched life, right up until her early teenage years when she was discovered by an older man called Charlie Knight.

The man payed the way for her plastic sergery, removing all blehmishes of her mutation, except for one. her unqiue ability to melt substances with the palms of her hands. For the next few years, Blue Aura revealed in her beautiful form and started pushing her body to extreme limits in order to futher herself from the pathetic, hideious, image of the past. Although, it still haunts her and she is extremely vain.

Years later, when Charlie, now Charles, formed his band of warriors, he presented Blue Aura with a uniform. Making her the field leader for his very own band of warriors. At first she was reluectent, but she owed Charles everything, he was the closeest think she had ever had to a father. And so, she became Blue Aura. Mercenary, leader and the uknown (even to herself) heir to the Dean Empire.

Powers:

Radioactive Touch: Melts pretty much anything on touch.

Sound Blast: Blue Aura developed a certain degree of deafness during her mutation, and so can blast loud levels of music at her enemies without much effect.

Incredibly strong and athletic: Years of training have made Blue Aura's body more then good enough to best an Olympic Athlete.

------

Name: LumberJack

Apperance: Lumberjack is a massive man, huge in every respect and with muscles that could poke your eyes out. Very broad shouldered and wide cheasted, Lumberjack is very proud of himself. Lumberjack has short, dark hair and very small, squinty eyes. He wears no real superhero costume, just a red shirt with even dark red cris-crossing, blue jeans, a large, brown, leather belt with a golden buckle. He also wears sturdy, lace up, steel toed boots. His massive axe strapped to his back.

Origin: Lumberjack and his family immigrated to the USNE from native Canada when he was a baby. Nobody is sure why they did it, but it had something to do with his father, illeagal drugs money, a crimeboss and a lot of lead. Lumberjack grew up to be just as dishonest as his father, but due to a strange balence of hormones, he also grew to be huge beyond comparison, and super strong to boot. Jumberjack started as just a hired goon, bodyguard, boncer, etc. But soon fell into full time employment of the Chaos King. Chaos King also supplies him with his deadly "Beaver Bombs".

Powers:

Superstrength: Lumberjack could well be one of the strongest men alive. He can literally take out a tank.

Beaver Bombs: Small grenades shaped like beavers. Set off by twisting the top.

Lumberjack also has a huge, titanium alloy, axe.

-----

Name: Sharpe

Apperance: Sharpe has a rather light build, much lighter then even Blue Aura. However he is much taller and has a proud, upstanding statue. He wears a skin tight, full body suit. Half of it is coloured in silver, half in a dark blue. However, his suit is highlighted by small, metalic wires and curicty, probably meant to enhance his his natural reflexes and agility. Sharpe's costume is complimented by an off-white metal mask (with targeting computers, scope, etc. built in), white gloves and white boots. He also has a red, targeting scope over one eye.

Origin: Next to nothing is known about the deadly assassin beyond his reputation. But then, his reputation speaks for it's self. Sharpe has been in the business longer then most of these so called "Super heroes" have been out of thier cradles. At any one time you can bet about a dozen powerful people owe Sharpe a favour, or a grand amount of money, or in some cases... both. Sharpe works for anybody and anyone and is seen as not only the greatest assassin to walk the Earth, but the most accurate man alive. He never misses. Ever.

Sharpe is really a part-time member of Chaos King's warriors, pulled in only when his services and expertise are needed. He came to be on the team after an assassination attempt on Charles K. Warrickson, head of C.K.W Enterprises. Sharpe was caught by C.K.W Sercurity, inc. but Charles saw great talent in the assassin, and has used his services on a regular basis ever since.

Powers:

Sharpe doesn't have any powers as such. He has highly responsive reflexes, is extraordinary smart and tactical and of coruse, his reputation. But this aisde, Sharpe also has technology. Every type of detection device you can imagine, Sharpe owns. Heat vision, night vision, telescopic vision, all can be achived though his special eye piece. And he also has his own brand of "pop-up guns". These guns, be they pistols, rifles, shotguns, etc. Spring into action as soon as Sharpe removes them from the special compartments on his belt.

---------

Name: D.A.M.A.G.E

Apperance: Damage's apperance changes from job to job. He is one memory uploadfing into countless bodies. The only one constant is that his paint colour is always orange, and his eyes "assuming he has any" are always green lights.

Origin: The D.A.M.A.G.E program was started long before Chaos King's decent into crime, it was meant to be CKW Enterprises big break. The machine to end all machines. Damage robots could do anything, and were completely compatible with one another. Thousands of advanced working machines all singing to the same tune. However, the funding for the project fell though, and Chaos King was forced to put it aside. Upon his decent into crime however, he restarted the Damage project with his own personal funds. Making a versitile tool that could aid them in any situation.

Powers:

Each form of Damage has it's own special ability.

--------

Name: Blitzkrieg

Apperance: Blitzkrieg is a large, heavily built German man, entering his early thirties. His head is shaved bald, and one of his eyes is missing, the relic of a long-past barfight. Blitzkrieg has a grizled, unshaven appearance, he looks like a real nasty piece of work. Definatly not one you'd want to get into a fight with. Trying to live out his dreams in his costume, Blitzkrieg wears a grey trench coat adorned in medals, black crosses and Swastika's. Under which, he wears a black, SS uniform and a sturdy pair of boots.

Origin: Once an electrician for PowersLimited (taken over by Wescorp a year or so later to become "WesPower"), albeit not a very good one, Blitzkrieg was a man, though well built and tough as old boots, still unsure of his true calling in life. . His family had moved from native Germany sometime during WWII. He grew up penniless on the slums of Lutonpolis, a poor, starving, pauper. Blitzkrieg is understandably bitter. He cursed his family as cowards, weaklings. He'd have proudly served the Nazi regime, but they robbed him of his one chance to achive this and sold out to the allies. Believing that his one true calling in life was to serve the Nazi war machine, Blitzkrieg has pointlessly wandered though life ever since.

One night, He had the bad fortune of working on replacing a vital television exchange. Cursing himself and employers when a heavy downpour began to fall, he was about to pack up and go when a violent lightning storm appeared mysteriously. Blitskrieg was struck down by a blast of incredible energy.

He was in concussion for five days, waking to find himself in Lutonopolis community general. Here he discovered that he had been pronounced dead, and would have been burried by now had a mysterious figure paid for him to be kept on life support. Blitzkrieg soon discovered his amazing powers. He could not only move at incredible speeds, he could also generate powerful bolts of electricty from his hands. However, when he finally met the mysterious figure who had saved his life, he found himself face to face with the Chaos King. Now owing a dept to Chaos King for saving his life, Blitzkrieg serves on his team of warriors.

Powers:

Blitzkrieg can not only move at incredible speeds, but he can shoot bolts of pure electrcity from his hands and produce charge on touch.

Name: Grape Vine

Apperance: Grape Vine is a tall, elegantly build woman with a stunning figure. She has pale green skin, hair a shade of violet, her blood runs a sickly yellow colour and it might also be noteworthy that her eyes are the same tone of yellow. Grape Vine isn't a great believer in clothes, having only two, skillfully placed red flowers and a large, oak leaf covering her modesty. However, if she actually has something to cover is a debatable point. Grape Vine's body is intertwined with vines, that criss cross her stomach and a single leg and arm. Each vine has also grown thorns, poisonous leaves and quite a dangerous array of flowers. Making Grape Vine a very tough opponent to fight hand to hand.

Origin: Grape Vine had stranger origins then most. She started out life as a humble cabbage. Yep, that's right, a cabbage. Grape Vine was close to being served on the dinner table of a working class family in London. However, Grape Vine was spared by a random act of fate. The day that shook Neo-England, the nuking of London, was both the saviour and rebirth of Grape Vine. The vast amount of radiation merged the conciousness of several plants into one, single minded lifeform. Ever since, Grape Vine has become a protector for her kind. At the start, she was an unorganised threat that slaughtered people for a smiple thing like stepping on grass, but she soon was absorbed by the Chaos King. Who promised her new plants to merge herself with (which has to happen on a regular basis, otherwise she just rots away) and a place in his organisation.

Powers:

Her protective eco-system makes it very hard to land an offensive attack on Grape Vine without getting hurt and quite possibly killed. However, weather she wants to be touched or not seems to depend completely on Grape Vine herself.

She also has the unique ablity to control plant life to almost unrealistic proportions. She can make a simple garden daisy try to chew your leg off, or wrap you up in tree roots.

Name: White Paw

Apperance: White Paw is a small, dark skinned man who wears but the simplest of clothing. A leather lioncloth and sandles seem to be the order of the day as far as he's concerned. White Paw very rarely stands or sits up straight. in fact, he mostly crouches. He has yellow, catlike eyes, two small fangs and jet black dreadlocks of hair. White Paw, not so true to his name, has the ability to transform into a large, silver tiger. So obviously, he's going to look extrememly different in this form.

Origin: White Paw was once a sucessful African game hunter. He was a spiteful, careless man who gave no second thought to his actions. Hunting down endangered species and proforming unspeakable acts of animal torture. This did not sit well with many people, least of all a half-deranged Witch Doctor of an elusive African village. When White Paw caught his Animal Companion (which was a living representation of part of the Witch Doctor's soul) in a bear trap, the Witch Doctor cursed the hunter with a thousand curses. He wiped all memory from White Paw's mind, enfusing his soul with that of the Witch Doctor's animal companion. Changing the once ruthless man to a champion of the wild. However, evil taints the soul forever. And it wasn't long before White Paw's true personality emerged, with a vengance. He murdered the Witch Doctor in cold blood, stealing his mystic spear. After Africa rejected this foul spawn of nature, with even plants, insects and birds staging ruthless attacks on Wild Paw, he left for Neo England. Where his unique talents fell into the hands of the Chaos King.

Powers:

White Paw can transform into a huge, incredibly strong, silver tiger at will. In this form, all his senses are boosted far beyond human limits, except his sight. The transformation renders him colourblind.

White Paw's mystic spear is enriched with Voodoo magics and is a very potent, and surprising weapon.

General NPC's:

Name: Wesley N. Dean III

Appearance: Dean is a man in his mid-twenties. He has smooth, yet stern, features, sharp, blue eyes and clean cut, brown hair. Straight faced and serious, for one so young Dean is a master of the "business face". Able to make his apologies "heartfelt" and his policies "In Lutonopolis' best interests" with just a few well placed expressions. On the job, Dean usually wears a variety of suits. This could range from pin-stripe to crisp, navy blue. Off the job, he wears a red, velvet bath robe, two young ladies on each arm and a satisfied smile.

Background: The third member of the Dean dynasty, Wesley III is often hailed as the saviour of the company. A tougher, sterner businessman then his father, who was often said to be the bane of the business. He brings the company back to the strict ruling of his grandfathers days, and so he should. Dean learnt most of his business skills from his late Grandfather, Sir Wesley. Never liking his father that much, Dean wasn't too traumatized when he was killed in a terrorist incident. His grandfather, however, was another matter.
Refusing to let go of him, Dean had Sir Wesley chryogenically frozen, determined to bring him back to life in a much younger body some day. Wesley Dean grew up to be a ruthless business man, the only thing that has been ever standing in his way is CKW Enterprises and the media. However, this may not last. More and more smaller companies and public services are swallowed by Wescorp every day, making it a power-house in international business.
During his non-business hours, Dean is the typical billionaire playboy. He likes nothing more then exotic drinks from far flung locations, exotic women and less then exotic activities involving both.

His stance on Super Humans is rather neutral.

* * * *

Name: Randuff Nierguds

Appearance: Randuff is a dark skinned man in his late forties, with a receding hairline (which is going grey around the edges), pale brown eyes, with wrinkles starting to slowly creep up on his face. He usually wears a long, brown coat, with a maroon suit underneath and a white shirt with a red handkerchief sticking out of the top pocket.

Background: The very first none-white mayor of Lutonopolis, Randuff has been met with skepticism and even down right aggressiveness in the past, but he's (mostly) over that barrier now. At first, Randuff won votes with his hardline policies and vows to finally put things right in this city. However, now in his fifth term of office, Randuff has become little more then an executive plaything. Both CKW Enterprises and Wescorp have "incriminating documents" on Randuff, which puts an immense amount of pressure on him. However, he must be doing something right for them, as no expense is spared putting him back in office every few years.
Randuff is a tired old man. Fed up of pleasing everyone, and looking forward to an early retirement. But in the meantime, he'll swallow his pride and do as he's told.

Randuff's public stance on Super Human's is whatever he's being force fed.

* * * *

Name: Farnoch McAndra

Appearance: Farnoch is a large man of wide girth with a badge declaring him to be chief of police. Usually unshaven, with bags under his eyes and unironed clothes, Farnoch generally walks around in his police uniform and a brown long coat. Although, his firearm is ALWAYS visible.

Background: Farnoch is his own man. He doesn't bow down and grovel to the corps like Randuff, and basically spits in their face when they attempt to blackmail or bribe him. He's an honest man, with honest values, and he always means well. Although, he is notorious for his anti-super human views.
Farnoch believes super humans are a danger to humanity, and should be contained in special prison units from birth. He reasons that allowing these freaks of nature to lead healthy and normal life in society is like allowing the population to carry firearms, and believes a day will come when a crisis opens the world's eyes to this threat.

His stance on super human's is negative in the extreme.

* * * *

Name: Mr. Sly

Appearance: A mysterious figure in the shadows or a signature on a letter.

Background: Mr. Sly is a police detective. Other then that, not much is known about him to the SSR. Is he a Wescorp puppet in the police force? Is he just an average detective who doesn't want to put his neck on the line by directly interacting with the SSR? Whatever he is, Mr. Sly, his assumed alias of course, indirectly helps the SSR by delivering hints, information, etc.

* * * *

Name: Michelle Streams

Appearance: Michelle is a woman with fair skin and blonde, shoulder-length hair, entering her early forties, although she looks younger. She normally wears a black suit with white shirt underneath

Background: Living in one of the spacious mansions in the richer areas of Lutonopolis. Michelle works as Editor of the Daily Rumour, a position that suits her perfectly due to her love of scandal and affiliation to half truths. Michelle appears to be strongly anti-Wescorp and to a lesser extent, anti-CKW enterprises. Although debatably this is just to get more readers to the sensationalism of her stories about the companies.
However, it is undeniably that she is one of the strongest supporters of Super Humans. While she is not overly enthusiastic about Wescorp being allowed to run this new team of super heroes, she supports them vigorously.

Her stance on Super Humans is positive.

Misc.

Name: Terrance McDougal
Background: A radio broadcaster for "Eye on the News" and various other programs across the network, Terrance is one of the most respected and admired radio news readers in the business. Rumour has it he's hoping to move on TV soon, so maybe we'll finally see the face behind the voice.

Name: Mrs. Dean
Background: The widow of Wesley Dean III, Ms. Dean has kept a low profile recently. It is believed she left for France soon after her husbands death for her own protection, and is living in a French villa there on his funds. She hasn't been seen in the public eye since.

Miscallaneous Villains : One

Name : Maelstrom (Jennifer Partridge) (Chaos King's Warriors member)

Appearance : A young girl of about 12 years old, with jet-black, dead-straight hair and shockingly white eyes. Maelstrom dresses in a slightly old-fashioned looking school uniform, the kind that’s all the rage in Neo-England’s more established boarding schools (complete with pinafore dress and straw boater).

Origin : Maelstrom is the only known survivor of the disaster that surrounded the late New Institute for Psychic Studies, a boarding school for young children who displayed any sign of mutant psychic powers, funded by the government to help provide a new line of defence against the dreaded Soviet psychic agents. Jennifer was a gifted but troubled student, unwilling to make any bonds of friendship with the others in the Institute- and little is known about what happened except that she walked away from the flaming ruins one cold December evening, unscathed, but with the rest of the school incinerated. Police investigations proved nothing, and attempts to locate Jennifer for questioning proved fruitless.

Powers : Extreme Psychic Control : Maelstrom is a VERY powerful psychic – she is an apt telekinetic and also has some expertise at triggering spontaneous combustion. However, she needs to build up a feel for her surroundings in a combat situations, so although her powers are somewhat weak at the beginning of a fight, they increase in power and savagery as it progresses, as long as they stay in the same locale.

Weaknesses : Physically fragile.

------

Name : Übermann (Freelance super"hero")

Appearance : A dashingly attractive young Aryan, tall with flashing white teeth and muscles finely toned. Übermann dresses in a spandex suit in the colours of red and grey, with a Ü set in a diamond-shaped emblem on his chest.

Origin : The ultimate product of the Nazi superhuman program, Übermann was created to surpass the perfection of the Aryan race, and hold back the tide of the Anglo-Saxons pouring into the Reich from the west, and the communists from the east. However, as the Reich collapsed, Überman was placed under orders to leave it’s smouldering ruins by the Fuhrer himself, and take his super-powered brethren and find a way to fight on. (Unknown to the little man, the rest of those experimental subjects who survived had long since fled to either the allied or soviet lines). Übermann took this commandment, and left for eastern Europe, knowing that the fight could not be won at this moment in time, and it may be best to wait until a more suitable time in the future – with his extended lifespan, he could wait out much longer than the memory of those on the winning sides.

However, Übermann’s lying low under the noses of the Soviets in the eastern bloc was brought to a stop, as he realised that the world was gearing up for another conflict. With his defeated Germany split between the winning sides, it was obvious that another war was brewing – between the capitalists in the west and the communists in the east. Having vowed to defeat both the anglo-saxons for their betrayal of the reich, and the communists for being communistic, Übermann was left with a dilemma – whoever won in the upcoming war would make the future considerably more difficult for his cause – he must journey to a flashpoint, preferably somewhere away from the front lines where his super powers could make a difference – and make sure neither the Neo-English and Americans nor the Soviets would be able to defeat the other.

Powers :
Flight – Übermann can fly, at speeds exceeding even the most superior engine of the Luftwaffe!
Indestructibility – Übermann is virtually indestructible – bullets bounce off his superior physique as if he were made of steel itself!
Super-Strength – Armed with the strength of ten Panzer divisions, Übermann has muscular power far greater than the mortal man!
Death-Ray vision – Übermann can fire deadly beams of intense energy out of his clear blue eyes!

Weaknesses :
Übermann has one complete weakness, although none yet know what it is

Hey there, spandex fans! And welcome to another fine day in Lutonopolis! In today's news, following extensive research and development, Doctor Victor Von Okterpus, of Wescorp Comapounds all new "Time Space Continuium" department, has developed radical new time traveling capabilities! Early experiments got to a false start, due to lack of funding from the mayors office, however, the good Doctor will now be catapaulting us from 1962 to 1999! But don't worry, my frightfully good looking chaps! Your posts will be edited seamlessly to fit the new setting, without you having to lift a finger!

However, all future SSR posts will take part in 1999, and not the 60's. The office of the Prime Minster has asked us to issue a statement that this is NOT due to pressure from Doctor Victor himself... seriously!

So, until next time, my faithful viewers, Keep posting and GOD SAVE WESLEY DEAN!!!!

(Items on display: One Super Villain. Faction: Chaos King's Warriors)

Name: Void Eater

Appearance: Void Eater wears a full battle suit constructed with an alien alloy. Due to his own advanced designs, it is light weight, not bulky, allows for swift movements (such as running, jumping and combat) and is... purple?! It's suitably humanoid, although it has many knobs and mechanisms strewn across the surface, which are twisted internally. These are like the volume and mute buttons on your TV control, when aligned correctly they can tune out certain sounds or completely mute it all together. Void Eater also has two black gems set in his face, that are easily breakable, but a small target.

Origin: Little is known about the true origin of the Void Eater, believed to be from either another dimension or a planet galaxies away, all that is known of his history is that he somehow fell into the possession of the Neo-English military at Area 51. As a being made up of a strange black gas (he claims it's pure darkness, but he's a bit melodramatic), he was kept in a small jar on a shelf of the science lab. That was until Chaos King's warriors broke him out. Giving him the tools and resources to build a suit to his own design, he pleaded his unquestioned loyalty to Chaos King. And while he rarely talks, he is a fearsome enemy to come against, even for strongest will.

Powers:
Void Eater has the ability to turn down, turn off, mute or drown out certain sounds according to the alignment of his mechanisms. So for example, he could tune out all sounds apart from a single pin dropping to the floor if he so desired.

Started a Process of updating the first post. I've added important links to the top, and will get around to adapting the rest of the background as I see fit for the new time era we've moved into. More for any new players we *might* get one day than anything... as you fraggers don't need to know this stuff :p

Artificial Idiot

Name: Birmingham Branson

Appearance: Appearance: Branson has shiney, brown, shoulder length hair, with a moustache resting below his nose. He has brown eyes, a muscular build and high cheek bones. Usually dressing in fine clothes, Branson is never seen without cruthces or a wheelchair.

Background: Born to an insanely weathly family and named after Neo-England's second city, Birmingham Branson led a pretty normal life. Taking a mild interest in aerodynamics and getting moderate grades, Birmingham went on to take over the family business after his perants died when he was young. It wasn't until he was 19 that he decided to go for a sight seeing tour around the world. While travelling the jungles of Africa with Samuel, his legal guadian, and his 16 year old niece Pedula, he uncovered a strange construcstion.
After a 24 hour examination process, and consulting with Samuel, they both decided to enter, leaving Pedula behind. Upon futher exploration, the arcitecture of the craft was like nothing either of them had ever seen, in design or the materials it was made of. They pushed on into the craft for hours, coming upon what appeared to be a form of laboratory. Here they found a small, sphereical object, taking it to be harmless, Samuel picked it up to examine it. This caused a chain reaction that activated a form of self destruct sequence that completely obliterated most of the ship.
Samuel was killed outright in the blast. Branson however, survived miraculously without even the smallest bone broken. He returned to Neo-England with a greiving Pedula, only to be crippled in a car accident some years later, in a creul twist of fate.

Personality: Branson is a reclusive playboy. A multi-billionaire, charming, witty, in perfect physical sharpe and with a rich personality, seemingly bound to his expensive mansion overlooking the river Lea due to a crippling injury. A sad, tragic case, but a pleasure to be with.

Name: Pedula Rose

Appearance: Appearance: A lithe, attractive woman, in a black, PVC cocktail dress, high heels, tights and a cap that casts a mysterious, alluring shadow over her face.

Background: Pedula has known Branson her whole life, he's practically an older brother to her. After her uncle Samuel was killed in Africa, she offered her full time employment to Branson. At first he was reluctant, but she had nowhere else to go. What followed was an odd working arrangement, it was sometimes hard to tell that Pedula was staff. As they seemed to look after each other just as equally, that is, until the accident. Pedula took full responsibility for Branson, always at his side or lingering around his vicinity.

Name: Eloise Mountbatten / Silver

Appearance: Silver is a pale skinned woman with a head crowned by locks of of silver hair that fall down to her shoulder. Giving the impression she is pre-maturely grey, but her hair is so bright and vibrant that if anything, it makes her look younger. Half of this covers the right side of her face, while the other half has a rather pale beauty about it. Has warm blue eyes, often accompanied by far too much eye-shadow and thin lips that are often coated in various shades of red or blue lipstick. With finger nails often a blue so dark it's a only a shade shy of being black. Likes to pronce her assets, without appearing overly tackey.

In super villain guise, Eloise is much the same, only she is made completely of solid silver.

Origin: A bored, tired noble woman with nothing to do with her life other than squander her fathers fortunes. She lived this way until one, fathful day when she was sent on an errand to inspect one of her fathers businesses, a small factory that processed various metals. She was taking the guided tour, when the guide led her up to the scaffolding that over-looked the vats of boiling metal. He warned her they couldn't stay for long, as there was a feared radiation leak from a nearby power plant.
As they desecended, Eloise slipped, falling over the side of the railings and head first into a vat of molten silver. She was pulled out house later, and proclaimed dead. But she was far from it. The radiation leak had effected either herself or the silver in the strangest ways, and now she found herself reborn, as a woman of pure metal. Since then, she has been seen engaged in various criminal activites, believed to be one of the many unattached super human mercenaries for hire.

Powers:

Silver lives up to her name sake. She is made of the stuff. This makes her very hard to damage, and i also gives her an added strength. With every blow feeling capable of breaking bone.

Silver can also heal herself to a degree. She can cure anything from tiny scars and scratches, to holes in her body by allocating silve from other parts of her body to the damaged area. This cannot, however, repace limbs. But they can be reset.

Can wrap objects in 'cacoons' of silver.

Being made of pure metal, Silver no longer feels physical emotion. However, she is a very good actor, and can have you believe she's rolling around in pain when really, she doesn't feel a thing.

Name : Seamus O'Cliche

Appearance : A short, irish man with red hair and a perpetually cheery counternance, Seamus is a common sight in the many alehouses in Lutonopolis. Seamus stands five-foot two inches tall and wears clothes typical of the lower classes of the city.

In disguise as the spirit-fuelled dervish that is the supervillain 'The Leprechaun', Seamus dons a green waistcoat, trousers and hat, marked with his mysterious and sinister symbol, the shamrock.

Personality : It is unknown why The Leprechaun causes so much trouble for the inhabitants of Lutonopolis - certainly he seems to bear no attatchment to any criminal organisation or alleigance to some brilliantly evil genius. Perhaps he just likes making a nuiscance of himself.

Origin - When Seamus was very young, he fell into the magic potion, granting him superpowers beyond imagining!

Powers :

Vanish : The Leprechaun can appear and dissapear at will, as long as no-one is watching him. Thus his opponents must keep their eyes on him at all times!

Pot'O'Gold : Seamus's legendary pot'o'gold doesn't just contain gold coins - it also serves as a handy melee weapon as well as a store for the lethal gold-plated shurikens he hurls at opponents.

Magic Potion : In the beermug that seems to rarely leave Seamus's hand, a mysterious potion from the mists of time is stored. When swilled, this can grant Seamus tempoary near-invulnerability and super strength, allowing him to best almost any opponent.

Note : once a year, on St. Patrick's day, Seamus's powers increase in enormous magnitude as the legendary Irish Energy that Seamus draws his power from reaches it's awesome peak.

Oh, and can he be called Seamus William O'Cliche instead? :p

CKW
04-02-2005, 10:16 AM
Name: Lord Walter Ryan Mason./Templar

Appearance: Middle aged man who has met better times, but still with an overall nice figure. He's whitened curly raven hair, along with mischievous brown eyes and a overall cheering expression, he'd give the look of the typical middle aged devil with a keen sense of humour.

It is rarely seen in his superhero guise, but he still retains his body armor, camo pants, broadsword and blue mask from his past days.

Origin: Once a cunning and competent superhero in his youth, Ryan has served well the crown, as his former employment as militar officer, or his latter superhero duty to root out the crime. His powers are documented to hail from his bloodline, as he's been known to be from a family of psykers. What is most scary of him though is that he never really needed a team to root out supervillains in the 70's.

Powers: Ryan's a full spectrum psyker, and as such is not only limited to bending spoons..

First of all, his telepathic ability allows him to probe minds, and using it in reverse, to clog minds with strange images. This kind of images are usually of a harming and terrifying nature to his victims. It is said that a continuated attack of this kind can shatter someone's mind.

Then there's the ability to pick living presence nearby, and also the sense of danger he has, making him difficult to catch by surprise.

For last and not less important, is the said ability to use kinetic-related powers. he can lift things, stop bullets or bind people at distance.

Although not strictly a superpower, Ryan's been known to be a fairly skilled soldier, wich may come handy.
