Character Creation: please send me a draft before submitting it here, this post is for accepted characters only. please follow the guidelines and contact me with the answer, that way we can work it out in private instead of cluttering this post with "can i play a ork?" style posts.
Name: this includes any nickname your character may have, imperial names tend to relate to mythology religion and latin. nicknames are fairly free slate
Occupation: what you do, a few sample options are:
Stormtrooper: elite soldier, weapons expert, can carry such equipment as plasma guns and heavy bolters (as well as the more standard improved lasguns (commonly known as hellguns) shotguns and the like)
Acolyte: Inquisitor in training, Acolytes are usually young, and basically act like the squires of knights, performing minor tasks at the Inquisitors wishes. they are expected to die to save the inquisitor if need be. they tend to carry a pistol and close combat weapon of some sort, and a lot of books
Sage: sages are the tacticians and data savants. they would at most carry a pistol and a knife, their role is mainly that of storing and sorting data
Medic: Medics are soldiers whose main role is first aide, but also would be called apon to perform torture and the like
Mystic: these are the astropaths and sanctioned psykers, they are usually not trained heavily in combat, and their powers are not insanely powerful. astropaths are always blind.
Tech Preists: these guys commune with the machine spirits that operate the tools of the world, from the boilers in a hab-block, to the engine or targeting sights on a heavy tank. mechanics is a religion (these guys are likely a little difficult to play so only experienced players please)
there are of course other options, so feel free to ask (in a email, or PM, contact details at the end of the post)
Gender: most occupations allow male and female members, if you dont know that your particular occupation doesnt allow a particular gender, then you shouldnt be playing that role
Age: this one is fairly self explanitory, minimum age is 18 for an acolyte, 23+ for a stormtrooper. maximum age is 40 except in special cases. use common sense here people.
Appearance: again be sensible here, mutants are common, but virtually never allowed into armed service. heavy robes and hoods are the going fashion, while Inquisitorial stormtroopers wear jet black carapace armour. tell me what you're planning, ill help you out
Background: background is dictated significantly by Occupation. stormtroopers are the best of the imperial guard, Inquisitorial stormtroopers are the best of those. orphans are common, but no "someone killed my parents and now i want to hunt them down" because, billions of planets, they wont be on this one. i promise you.
Personality: a few guidelines, mavricks who go against authority tend to die fairly quickly, but certain Inquisitors often appreciate a little streak of that in their aides, so long as they maintain proper respect for the imperium itself and of course, the Inquisitor. a sage who is quick to anger is unlikely, a pacifist imperial guardsman can exist (dorden the medic in the gaunts ghosts series is a good example) but they wouldnt take combat roles, (dorden was a medic, and even he would defend himself if need be) and are unlikely to be promoted into inquisitional service (although again, certain Inquisitors...) untrained psychics are a big big nono.
Gear: this is also likely to be dictated significantly by the occupation, a stormtrooper could carry a number of weapon types, but a sage would be limited to a pistol. run your character idea behind me, ill do my best to sort it out. inquisitorial henchmen are allowed a certain degree of leeway not afforded to standard troops, especially among the more 'open minded' Inquisitors, so modified and illegal gear may be accepted if warrented (and not too illegal) the Ordo Xenos have a habit of using alien technology against the hated infidels, but its worth noting that if you insist on using an eldar shuriken catapult, you will find yourself out of ammo fairly quickly.
beyond that id like to talk with each player breifly in regards to their character, my contact details are:

Name: Lord Inquisitor Jonas 'Red Eye' Gabriel
Occupation: Inquisitor Lord of the Ordo Xenos
Gender: Male
Age: 48
Appearance: tall broad shoulders man, big arms, strong, short military cut hair, a scar and red ocular implant over his left eye, this design is not terribly cosmetic, but its imposing. He also has many tattoos about his person, not the least is an active tattoo on his palm that designates him as a member of the ordo xenos.
Background: Jonas' parents were Imperial Navy. His father was the first gunner on a large cruiser (“the emperors light”) and his mother served on the same vessel as a engineer. When he was 7 they were both kllled along with the rest of the crew during an engagement with the forces of the ulthwe craftworld of the eldar. He was sent to an imperial orphanage and inducted into the inquisition after a rigorous application process, after about 10 years studying with the great Inquisitor 'BlackClaw' Rackash (so called because of his cyberarm which incorporated a jet black power fist) and finally earning his rank as a full Inquisitor. Within the inquisition he has proceeded to excel, working mostly against the ork clans near the pacificus sector rim, Although he has fought most every enemy of mankind at some stage or another.
Personality: Jonas is a fairly free thinking Inquisitor, making use of many elements of society that some inquisitors may not even think of, he will not stoop to fighting alongside aliens, and abhors those who do (those he sees as a stain on the great honour of the Inquisition) he is a fairly tactical and reserved man, who is slow to trust, but is helpful to those he respects. He usually performs his duties with a reserved determination that seems cold and uncaring.
Gear:
Wears Ornate Power Armour when on mission, also has a small conversion field generator built into his chestpeice (although he does not always have it activated)
He carries a bolter with an underslung Incinerator Unit, the boltgun is linked to his bionic eye, and he also has several clips of both standard, and all basic specialist types of ammo available to the Ordo Xenos (Inferno, Metal Storm and Kraken)
He carries a Plasma Pistol as a sidearm
A blessed power sword
Frag Krak and Photon grenades
He also has several other tricks up his sleeve, but im not going to reveal them all here now am I ^^
Jonas is the primary character in the story, and as such, more information will be revealed in a way that improves the storyline, likewise, an Inquisitor has the best equipment, and never reveals all his cards at once. His background is vague, but it's a little more detailed in my mind, this allows additional PCs and NPCs to be factored in later. Likewise I have left out how he came to meet his crew, as that is important to your character and would be placed there instead.

Behold my first post! this is my character for the game Jagged is running. Enjoy.
Name: Tech Priest Magos Oedipus
Occupation: Tech Priest Magos specialising in xenos biology and tech.
Gender: Male (although incapable of biological replication)
Age: 127
Appearance: Standing about 6’ 5” in his deep red Martian robes, Magos Oedipus make san imposing figure. Little of him is visible under the robes, but most of what is visible is mechanical. His head, clearly visible framed by the hood of the robe, is an imposing iron skull with glowing red eyes. His left arm appears entirely mechanical, and ends in a hand with eight digits. His right arm appears mostly organic, aside from the obvious neural interface that covers most of the palm of that hand. He also has a large servo arm that reaches from his back and over his left shoulder. He is usually found accompanied by two hovering servo skulls.
Background: Tech Priest Oedipus is unlike most humans. Born in a synth vat on Mars from DNA that was, from the recommendations of their best cognitive engines, the best way to optimise his neural pathways he is a prime example of the men that make up the elite Tech Priests of Mars. After release from the synth vat he underwent standard programming for a tech priest. Once his abilities were confirmed, he received an upgrade to set him up for training as a Magos specialising in xeno-tech.
Once his training was complete, the augmentation began. Most of his skull was removed and his brain augmented with cognitive engines. His brain, now a mix of organic and machine matter, was then re-encased in an armoured skull. His eyes were replaced with full spectrum analysis viewers with the ability to zoom out for far distance viewing or focus on almost microscopic scale. His vocal cords were replaced with a speaker system capable of both human and machine speech. His olfactory senses were replaced by more sensitive sensors, and his hearing range enhanced by aural receptors.
Most of his skeletal structure was then replaced with hardened ceramite and a fused ribcage, similar to the genetic process used by the Adeptus Astartes. Most of his biological organs were then replaced with more efficient techno-organic equivalents. This included his respiratory system, which was enhanced to allow breathing underwater and in other hazardous environments, and also to help provide higher levels of oxygen to his enhanced brain. A small fusion power plant was installed in his chest cavity to power his systems. Subdermal armour plating was added under most of his skin to protect his vital systems.
His left arm was almost entirely replaced with machinery, the now eight digits of his left hand containing a micro-tool, a plasma torch (created when the middle two digits moved together) a small lamp, a screwdriver, an infra red scanner and two fairly normal mechanical digits. The elbow, wrist and shoulder joints were enhanced to allow a full field of motion. The right arm received relatively little augmentation, aside from a back-up machine-neural interface to supplement the one installed at the base of his neck.
During the installation of his neural interface network, he was also gifted with a servo arm attached to his back to assist in heavy lifting and other such labour should it be required of him.
He was then enhanced with a special nutritional distribution system, allowing him to go without food or drink but making him rely on special nutritional capsules produced by the Adeptus Mechanicus for its agents.
His creation complete, he was then apprenticed to a senior xeno-tech Magos, where he spent +++information classified under omega clearance+++ Once this term was complete, he requested and subsequently received xeno-biology training. Fast becoming a xenos expert, he was selected by his superiors as a liaison to the Inquisition. Granted special dispensation by the Ecclesiarchy as part of the agreement between the three agencies, he is fully authorised to encounter and examine new and old xenos technology and biological organisms in any work he may encounter for his assigned Inquisitor.
As a mark of his station and a concession to the dangerous duties of an Inquisitors personal tech priest, he was granted the master crafted plasma pistol Sol’s Fury crafted by Master Artisan Jonas and the master crafted power axe Divine Will crafted by Master Artisan Helian. He was also granted a few melta bombs for the clearance of debris and two servo skulls, one exploratory version and one guard version. He has informed his superiors in the Adeptus Mechanicus that he relishes the chance to further the knowledge of the Imperium with his abilities in the service of the Inquisition.
Personality: While the Magos does not shun human company, he certainly seems more at ease around machinery. While not too interested in live xenos, he does have a fascination with the things left behind when they die, including their corpses. Under normal circumstances he is a stickler for the rules, but those who spend more time around him notice that he tends to ignore such restrictions in urgent situations such as combat. Although imposing and slightly inhuman in appearance, he is a solid and reliable person that will always complete the task at hand regardless of distractions.
Gear: Master Crafted Plasma Pistol Sol’s Fury. Master Crafted Power Axe Divine Will. Two melta bombs. One exploratory (recon) servo skull and one guard (laspistol) servo skull. Sub dermal armour (equivalent to carapace armour in terms of protection). Martian robes (flame retardant). Various bionic upgrades (including a disruption field over the servo arm, giving it a similar effect to a power fist in combat).

Name: Sergeant Abraham "Ace" O'Shea.
Occupation: Stormtrooper, Sergeant of the 7th Cadian Karskin Stormtrooper squad, nicknamed the Lucky Number Sevens.
Gender: Male
Age: 29
Appearance: Tall, thin but well muscled, grey eyes, brown hair fashioned in a crew cut, many battle scars on face and arms, a metal plate replaces the right side of his face, curving around his empty right eye socket, right arm has been replaced by a bionic one, number seven painted on shoulder of the bionic arm.
Background: Son of a conscript from Cadia, Abraham learned to fight from an early age. By age 14 he had a punch that most who felt it learned to respect. His parents died at the hands of an ork invasion when he was 14 and just about to enlist. Abraham fought bravely against the orks, but he would have been dead had Inquisitor Lord Gabriel not arrived and put the orks down. After that Abraham trained his hardest, excelling in all fields of his training. On one of his first missions, a shard of shrapnel pierced his cheek, tearing it irreparably while more shrapnel did extensive damage to his face, right arm and chest. He received a replacement arm, as well as a substitute lung. He was later recruited as a Stormtrooper at the age of 25 and has led his squad against many seemingly impossible odds, fighting orks, Eldar and chaos alike. One such mission was the defence of a supply convoy in Eldar infested territory. The convoy was ambushed by Eldar jet bikes in an enclosed canyon. O’Shea and his men mercilessly blasted the jet bikes from the air, saving the convoy from destruction. His squad went on to do more and more outlandish missions. From each of these attacks his squad emerged unscathed. The name Lucky Number Sevens stuck after they held out long enough to pinpoint a bomber strike on a chaos spawn and still got away with only two casualties. O'Shea and his troops swore their services to Lord Gabriel when they chanced to meet a second time.
Personality: Abraham is cold and uncaring, unless there are men's lives at stake. He is able to keep his men in check, and harbours sympathy for no one. He respects his superiors, of course, but knows which orders to follow to the letter and which to improvise with the wording slightly.
Gear: Standard Karskin armour minus the right shoulder and arm, foot long serrated knife hidden in bionic arm, hellgun (Attached to power pack on back, o' course, and hung on left side of pack when not in use), Arbites pattern II "Thunderer" shotgun (Slung on right side of pack), krak grenades and frag grenades (On belt).
(Well, took me a while but, well, here it is.)
Sabin
09-30-2004, 05:40 AM
Appearance: Sabin is a relatively tall (6'2"), wiry man with long spindly limbs who, despite his awkward looking body, moves with a quiet and purposeful grace.
As a navigator, Sabin's most distinguishing feature is the third eye in the middle of his forehead, although this is usually covered by the opaque faceplate of his helmet. Sabin has also aged prematurely due to his extensive travel in warp space. His gaunt face and hollowed cheeks make him look about 45 years old.
Another sign of his navigator heritage is Resic's disturbingly translucent skin, which permits muscles, bones and organs close to the surface to be seen faintly under bright light. Sabin’s nickname is based on this feature and his tendency to move very quietly. This talent has been refined over many years in the company of assorted unsavoury passengers, who have the potential to decide it’s time to tear someone’s tongue out, just to relieve the boredom of space travel.
Background: As with most of his kind, Sabin is the product of an arranged marriage between two navigator families. Inbreeding between closely related families has resulted in the expression of physical mutations in Resic, as well as the ability to navigate through warp space. Sabin's pilot training began soon after he could walk, which indicates a modicum of spatial awareness, culminating with his first experience of warp piloting at the age of 15.
There are few records of the second half of Sabin Resic’s life, but it is generally thought that he sought out contracts on the fringe of human space where, at best, he worked for rogue traders, but it is more likely he became a high-paid pirate, smuggler and, quite possibly, alien collaborator.
Resic certainly has a good operational knowledge of alien vessels and a broad understanding of alien languages, particularly the frenzied exchanges required for effective bargaining as well as the written form - so he knows what he is trading for.
Sabin has seen his fair share of combat, but it has mostly been ship-based, where there is little need for range weapons. Resic relies on stealth and short, sharp and brutal hand-to-hand combat exchanges to see him through dangerous situations. Even on those few occasions where his ship has been overrun, he has been able to talk his way out of termination. In this, Sabin is assisted by the fact rogue navigators are so rare on the fringes.
The most recent incident led to Sabin talking his way out of death and into the service of Inquisitor Lord Jonas 'Red Eye' Gabriel. Jonas decide he would be more valuable to him alive rather than dead even though he strongly doubted that Sabin had been “forced to navigate for those rascally ork gunrunners”.
Personality: Sabin's parents didn't teach him about love, but they did try to make sure he was loyal to the Empire so that he would always do his duty. It didn’t work. Resic’s parent also taught him that he was special, above other humans, which has fostered feelings of arrogance and superiority. In this his parents were supremely successful.
Resic appears even-tempered and personable on the outside, but at heart he is cold, calculating and brutally efficient in seeking the best outcome for his number one fan – himself.
Sabin doesn't particularly hate aliens, but with loyalty to humanity being part of his education and finding himself in close proximity to an Inquisitor Lord, he finds it easy to make all the right noises about the alien menace. Overall, Sabin does what is required of him, but with little pleasure.
Resic has spurned all opportunities for bionic augmentation and feels that those who have succumbed to trading meat for machine are less than human. The hypocritical implications of this viewpoint given that he is a mutant, and therefore not quite human, is lost on Sabin.
Gear: Sabin is usually seen wearing a cameleoline cloak (taken from the corpse of an Eldar scout who boarded one of Sabin's ships) over mesh armour. Resic wears his helmet most of the time to avoid the stigma of being recognised by strangers as a mutant – it incorporates auto senses, a communicator and infravision visor. Sabin’s usual gear also includes a sealed suit, respirator, chainsword, power maul and concealed laspistol.
Master Chris

Name: Malius Hellen.
Gender: Male
Species: Pure breed Human.
Age: 18
Occupation: Recently Commmisioned Commissar.
Appearance: A tall, bearded man with short black hair, green eyes, and a hawkish nose. Malius wears the official Commissar uniform with a simple Carapace armour cuirass on top of it.
Personality: Like most Commissars, Malius is a devote Imperial, loving the Emperor as a father. Malius is dedicated to enforcing the word of the Emperor. Malius sees corrupt humans as the greatest threat to the Imperium, as these are people who have turned away from the light of the Emperor, and are surely must be the greatest abominations if they are to do so. Malius obeys his superiors, as long as he considers them to be acting with the Emperor's grace.
Background: As with most Commissars, Malius was an orphan adopted by the Imperium (his parents died in the service of the Imperium, he doesn't know how or why, and it really doesn't matter to him), later conscripted into the Commissar program, where he performed reasonably well, demonstrating zeal as well as judgement. Having completed the first section of his training, Malius was assigned to a senior Commissar for 'field-training'. It was here that he discovered, at least according to him, the foul taint of corruption in his mentor, whom was despatched brutally before any decisive evidence could be collected. The court martial could find nothing to indicate that Malius was either completely innocent or guilty, as there had been a pending investigation of his ex-superior. Just to be safe, Malius was sentenced to a probationary period of Pennance in the service of an Inquisitor, Lord Inquisitor Jonas Gabriel.
Gear: Carapace armour, Twin brace of Bolt Pistols (limited ammo supply), and a back-mounted Chain-sword.
Jagged Tooth Grin

Name: Known only as “Mother”
Occupation: Mystic (Astropath and Occasional Seer)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Appearance: around 5'8” short red hair, grey sightless eyes. Fairly athletic figure, generally wears camouflage pants and a plain black top with webbing, also wears a collection of necklaces and bracelets made from teeth and small bones, carved with spiralling patterns. her arms thighs and belly are also covered in tattoos of a similar pattern (of course thats all fairly concealed by clothes)
Background: the girl who would become “Mother” was once born on a fairly primitive world, and her talents had her picked to become the tribe shaman. As was tradition in the tribe, she was not to be named until her 18th birthday, when she would pick her name. Her training was well underway when the black ship approached. Deemed a potentially dangerous psyker, she was taken from the tribe and sent into the crowded and maddening holds. The tribe believed she had been taken to the great sky god, and in a way it was true. During the trip she was screened and tested intensively, and the young girl, only 10 at the time, was one of two potentials set aside to receive astropath training. The rest were to be consumed by the golden throne. After several years of training and focusing, aided by her partially completed trainings from her home world, in particular, meditation, and the rudimentary “spirit talking” which worked much like divination from the Emperors tarot. After her graduation, and subsequent soul binding, the now blind (and still unnamed) mother was set to aide a roving Inquisitor. She then received additional training, and even more rigorous screening and testing. Once that was complete, she was sent to her post, and given the designation “Mother” to signify her duties as one who watches over the warriors. Once arriving in the service of Inquisitor Gabriel, she has served with him faithfully for the last 3 years, her prenatural senses being more than enough to make up for her inability to see in the physical sense. As it is approaching her 18th, she plans on holding the traditional naming ritual, even though she does not even know the name of her home world, nor hold any hope of returning to them.
Personality: Mother is a serene person, who's almost Zen like attitude to the world seems fairly noncommittal to those who do not know her well. She usually waits and thinks carefully before acting, and usually doesn't take a combat role, due to her training being limited to very basic defence. She often reverts to using rune stones rather than the Emperor's tarot, and is generally quiet and reserved.
Gear: Mother wears an armoured vest over her top, and usually has shin and wrist guards, but nothing particularly thick. She carries a laspistol in a hip holster, and a long ceremonial knife, which she can throw with uncanny accuracy.

This Character Belongs to a freind who has was not able to post in time, so asked me to do so for him.
Kim
Name: Lysander Caine. A.K.A. the child inquisitor, child prophet, Dhlasksha (local dialect - bringer of change)
Age: 25
Occupation: Acolyte, Interrogator.
Appearance: Dark haired, pale, with a grey cloak. Collection of alien artifacts including prized Eldar timepiece,
Personality: At times calm, rational tolerant of a wide variety of alien techniques and almost supernaturally perceptive - at other times, unpredictable and paranoid. Radical with regard to alien technologies but a devout puritan when demon items are concerned.
Background: Raised on a distant planet that was constantly plagued by Daemon and Xenos infestations. Product of a strict Redemptionist upbringing that regarded any deviation from the human norm (especially psychic power) as heretical. This deeply troubled Lysander - who had been hearing thoughts been experiencing clairvoyant visions of Daemonic invasions since the age of 8. Too sickly to join the Imperial guard and deeply disturbed by his own "heretical" abilities, Caine followed a devoutly religious path, joining a local order where he was considered a child prodigy and soon being accepted as an acolyte to a well respected Inquisitor.
Caine's nascent ability to detect the presence of Daemons was recognised at an early stage by Inquisitor Tallus Nero. Nero was a closet radical - who believed that daemonic artifacts and powers had tremendous potential to benefit the Imperium. Tallus began as a much-needed friend to the young acolyte - yet soon became corrupted by the daemonic artifacts in his possession and involved the unwilling child in several dark rituals. Nero was at pains to blame the rituals on the darkness within Lysander, not on his own warped tendencies. Scarred by the experience of these ceremonies Caine soon rebelled against his father figure and lead his fellow acolytes to purge the Imperium of Nero and his fellow fallen radicals. The "child's inquisition", as it was called resulted in the exposure and death of Nero and the destruction of the "infernal codex" - yet also wreaked havoc across Caine's home planet as various children extracted revenge for their mistreatment.
Officials of the Imperium - led by Inquisitor Scipio, praised the so called "child inquisitor" for his work - yet also determined that this troubled young man needed a great deal of training and supervision if he was to eventually aid the Imperium rather than fall to chaos. Lysander spent several years in psychiatric counselling before being detailed to work for his current master Inquisitor Gabriel.
Subsequent missions have involved mixed reviews for the acolyte. On some occasions his clairvoyant talents have proved remarkably useful - on other occasions they are clouded by his personal problems and have resulted in false leads and damage to the cause. Opinion is currently divided as to whether Lysander is a warped genius or a dangerous lunatic. Employed as an interrogator his telepathic abilities work most effectively when his subjects are experiencing strong emotions - usually Caine tries to help subjects feel joy or happiness or even fear - yet can resort to torture when the situation demands it.
Gear: Eldar writings on military strategy (dataslate replication, originals are stored safely on a vault within the Hammer Of Righteousness) and Heavy Flechette (Needle) Pistol. "Truth Bringer" torture device.
