Anyone want to post the drawings you make? I just did one tonight, and I figured I'd test out the scanner. Got it uploaded to my yahoo profile, so hopefully this will work. Here goes

Ah just kiddin- it is indeed good. The thing that bothers me about anime is that drawing using someone elses style kinda irks me- i never got in to it much.

Anime as a whole isn't somebody elses style at all. It's a genre, it has certain rules as to how people look but each artist has his own style. Just like US comics or European comics.

I wish I could tell you more about this drawing... about this man... why he is there, what that glowing sphere in the wall is.
But I am just the artist; the messenger. The only thing I know is that this man has reached his destination. He has travelled far, faced death many times...

I did it like that on purpose, I think savin' the output in black n white bitmap gives it a cooler effect. Easier to edit in gfx programs too

You should resize them a bit before uploading them though... they're fragging big (and not every browser has a zoom function like my Opera :p)

well, i got some new stuff ready, so here we go :)

the first one is sposda be sylvannas form wcIII- i gave her a sword isntead of a bow just for the hell of it. The next one is a robot- what more do ya need to know? I havent shaded either of them yet, as you can see. The third is a grandfather clock- no particular reason for it :p

Nothing as far as I can see. I agree with sYcknYss... you have serious skills- are you planning on pursuing a career in art? One of the things I want to do is character design.

The art teacher at school has taken a serious interest in me and is helping me improve my skills. Right now I'm working on the human body and experimenting with different coloring tecniques.

Thanks nils ;) Actually, I hope to go in to 3d animation, so u can check the 3d gallery for my stuff their as well. I too, have been working on the human body a lot recently. Speciically, I'm working on getting the exact muscle structure down, as understanding what's going on beneath the skin is key to drawing/modelling people ;)

Another A Life of Shadow inspired picture, it seems my scanner doesn't register my shading very well and makes it look nasty (maybe it's 'cause I'm saving at 75% quality in order to keep the file size down). Ahh well. Just to point out, this series of pics are mutually exclusive with regards to the ALOS storyline. Each is only one possible outcome for a certain character. (Read ALOS for more details if you're interested, fragger.)

Well, I finally got enough will to do another drawing, drew it just a few minutes ago. This is far from my best, but far from my worst.


I need to blend in the shading still, and I might go ahead and totally redo it. The tail looks weird, and the halo looks off center and too small. But, it aint all bad.
