Caught off guard!!

Just found out Saturday that I'm going to be a Daddy. My girlfriend came home from a vacation trip she went on with some co-workers, and set a card on my chair after we had talked for awhile, and she unpacked. I open the envelope, and it's a fathers day card. She has done this before saying it's from the dogs. I opened the card this time inside is a ultrasound. She's 15 weeks along. I almost got sick. She just found out before her trip and didn't want to tell me till she got back.

We had never planned on having kids, she was taking birthcontrol for many years. I never really have been around any kids either, So now I'll have to learn. I'm still in shock and worrying about everything-health issues, money, room, will I have the patience.
We go to the baby doctor on Thursday to make every thing is ok since she is pregnant at an older age. Then tell her parents on Saturday. So far my friends and family have been supportive and know I'm scared, and my feelings were about not planning to have kids. " Maybe it was meant to be." is what I hear, and "You'll be a good father." I hope they are right.
